I have a proposition for you Cheryl, ok you say you cant live without posting about Arlo or reading Arlo stuff so why post in blunder or other related areas? Why not just keep ypur "Arlo related posts" to the Arlo threads, Sarah lee post to Sarah lee threads etc?
And for the life of me I can't figure out why you would go onto another site (one of which you know doesnt like this site) and bitch to the sapplings over there? It boggles my mind (THIS IS NOT A RHETORICAL QUESTION I REALLY WOULD LIKE AN ANSWER).
And we dont need to hear I was just kidding or It wasnt meant for Dave.
You know what you are doing there is no doubt in my mind and dont try to play it off as poor innocent cheryl. Dont you think that there was a reason behing the borks and blahs. When stuff like that happens TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS (Wow what adult jsut said that??)Text Dont go to other sites to complain about here or Dave dont say your running to Arlo with this crap. Dont you think arlo has enought to worry about with oh, i dont know his music, family, house etc without you bringing trivial problems to him? He is not the playground captain, you need to learn to take responsibility for you just you. Take a couple of Days and read all your posts and jsut sit in a room by yourself and ponder...How would feel if someone was saying these things about you that you say about dave. For that matter what if I said the EXACT same things about ARLO that you have said about Dave and this site???? Maybe that will help you relalize maybe it will but I have my brick out ready!
I am done and Survivor is about to start.

Oh btw-NLOL!

Star and Levi, how dare you!!!!!

Now my stomach hurts! I'm serious here - my stomach is killing me.

Dave came out of his shower asking what that noise was....he heard my reaction to your two posts all the way throught he house (you can't hear that far when we are TRYING to yell something to each other!) while the water was running.

Damn you both.....I think I scared the cats two. (Sheesh, see what you guys did...that should have been TWO cats TOO...)

I can't decide which one made me laugh harder....I guess you two will have to have a cage match now to figure that one out, huh? Image

So, in closing....eat shit, fools! (But don't worry....that wasn't directed at anyone!!!)

Nathen!!! used thongs to kinky for you??? for you??? nawwwww. I've seen the pix! (ssshhh)
Wow star, didja do thatwith nathen's magik decoder ring?
THE BALLAD OF DAVE AND CHERYL
When spandex stretched, in Blunderchat
the match was seen by all
twas Dave & Cheryl in the Ring
and, damn! that ring looked small
the match did have it's drama,
incongruous as that seemed
with Cheryl cloaked in self-pity
and dragging her self-esteem
Dave roared & stomped & pounded his chest
with a laptop ready for bashing
he spammed ten rows in the corner
sending pickle people crashing...
(to be continued)
and Kim, if you don't compliment me for my loquascious verbosity in the next 72 hours, I'll eat your lunch and shread your autographed pic of Barry Goldwater

In answer to Sherrys question my comment wasn't in reference to Dave but to anyone who would try to keep me off of Arlo related sites. I deleted the stuff I wrote on the other site that I thought was upsetting other folks out of my post so that they would no longer be upset & forget about it & hopfully want to forget it & everything get back to normal around here.

Sorry if I write about Arlo on the non-Arlo related boards but I thought this was an Arlo site LOL! Somehow everything on here somwhow pertains to him LOL! Image

I just assumed that Nathan wrote the barks himself on there just as a joke LOL!

Have fun ya'll! I know I want to. Now back to your regularly scheduled program Dubya Goes to Washington... Image

Saying something spiteful, ignorant or rude (or a combination of those) in a place where the person(s) it was about can see it, and then erasing it does NOT change the original act, Cheryl. This is the second time you played that game - got caught - and cried "innocent" in the last couple of weeks.

The word is mightier than the sword. So, if you used a sword to stab someone here, instead of your words, and then pulled it out... would it not have happened?

Then again... since you never really "listen" to what any of us say... if a tree falls in a middle of a forest of Cheryls, is there a sound?

What I said wasn't spiteful, rude or ignorant nor was it meant to be. Sorry if folks took it the wrong way. I just erased it so that folks wouldn't get so upset any more. I'd prefer to forget about what has happened & get back to having fun on here. So now back to having fun... ImageImage

so, what you are saying is you just happened to pull the idea of having your words turned into "bork and blah" out of thin air to describe arlo related sites in a "general sense"? the fact that it happened on arlonet, where dave is the webmaster in control of those things, had absolutely nothing to do with your comments?

quote:
Folks forget that Uncle Arlo sees & knows everything that goes on. He knows everything that is going on.

Believe me if I were banned from any Arlo sites, I would raising such a stink & complaint & some butts would be kicked. Nobody stops me LOL! Plus Uncle Arlo would be very upset. I don't think anyone would want to upset Uncle Arlo!

so..this "threat" to kick ass is directed at all arlo related site webmasters? you're asking us to believe that you meant to direct that not just to dave, but to jamie, and whomever handles the yahoo arlo related sites you visit?

dave has posted announcements about "banning". arlo has surely read those annoucements and is aware of dave's policies. i mean..he sees and knows everything, right? to my knowledge, arlo has not seen fit to tell dave that he can't enforce any bannings...not written to dave and said...well, anyone but cheryl because she's special. if you somehow have special status granted to you from "uncle arlo" to say whatever you want, no matter how mean and spiteful, perhaps you should let everyone around here know that...especially dave.

i hope i haven't overloaded you with questions that i'm sure you won't really answer, but i'm just trying to get this clear in my mind...and i must kind of like hitting my head against kim's brick wall.

Cheryl, you called the original offer I made for the Lenten pledge "Stupid". That was rude and spiteful. It allowed all your brine-soaked friends to attack my "hippocritical" (sic) offer, and continue with ignorant statements along those lines. You twice made rude and spiteful references to Dave (thinking we were so vague that we would not catch them) - again, those boards have become FILLED with the same type of responses to your original (now edited) posts - which are just as rude and spiteful as your original posts.

You have posted ignorant statements again and again about religion and Lent. From "some" Catholics being Christian to speaking for the Presbyterian church as not celebrating Lent - you try to come off as an authority in this field, and you rarely state the facts correctly.

Yeah, rude, spiteful and ignorant is how it's come across. We all post some stuff that we re-think, and yes, we edit. But, we don't apologize because the readers were too simple to know what we intended to say. We apologize cuz WE screwed up, we apologize sincerely (not lol) for hurting people's feelings, and we try to correct what we said to what we MEANT.

Finally, I am trying to figure out what "back to the fun" means. Fun was blah blah blah/bork bork bork, and it made one HECK of a lot of sense and was a lot more polite (even with the 'nasty' smilies) than anything you have said here, since.

Careful Star, you're head is going to start hurting just like Kim's! Damn that brick wall...I've got a call in to a demolition crew to see if we can tear it down. Image

I also happen to think that if anyone thinks we are so mean and cruel then maybe they should forward their mail to pickleville where the sun always shines and everyone is always so sweet and nice...and BORING!

Fitzy, I know what you mean about the wall... maybe we just need some better shovels and picks and implements of destruction?

You know, I totally ignored brineland for a long time. I think I looked at it one time, when I got the link. But, when Cheryl started posting her saccharine laced responses here about the offer I'd made, I dunno, something told me there might be more to the story. There was. It was rude and nasty, and getting nastier, until she was called on it. I can't say that lately it's been a place that is sweet and nice, tho boring does fit. The only topic of any substance that they seem to discuss is the low quality of the people here. Those comments were instigated by... well, we all pretty much know who.

Hey, Dave?? Just wondering - you have added all sorts of filters - whether changing pepsi to coke or changing BS to blah, and you have an ignore feature in Blunderchat. Would something like that ignore feature be a potential enhancement for the forums?

Doggone it, Fitzy, your post made me think of a song, and now it'll be going through my mind all day...

"They're coming to take me away, ha-ha, to the funny farm, wher life is beautiful all the time....."
(ok, so I don't remember the rest of the words, which means, of course that I'll have only one line of this song going through my head! Oh, and any resemblence between this song and aforementioned briny lands is purely intentional)

And yes Bumper, I am impressed.....on the edge of my seat, waiting for the next installment!!

Ah, one more random thought for the morning....

I see potential for another Guthrie Center fundraiser here! We could paint squares of red squishy-foam (like they use for those silly #1 fingers at sporting events) to look like little brick walls, and sell them as "Blunderboard Stress Relievers." Plus, that way, there wouldn't be so many of us with dented foreheads around here. And with the amount of use they would get, I see a booming repeat business too!!!

Ummm...does this mean this now has to go full circle and go back to the fundraising forum?

Naw! Image

Oh Goody! Controversial Topics is reborn! After all, it's been true for millenia that a good war brings people together, the ones that it doesn't tear apart and the ones that survive anyway!
Now even with my sarcasm, I'll admit the need to reopen it as Dave has designed it, if only to give Arnie his old job back!

Cheryl, my heartfelt advice to you is not to try and re-write history. The record of you statements will bite you on the bottom when you attempt to do so.
You can apologize for your statements, or you can not apologize and stand by your statements, but you cannot change your statements. Time to move on, and hopefully learn something from this experiance. I'm finding this entire episode very distastful and counterproductive in many ways, even though I have participated myself by trying to inject a little humor, and sometimes humor with a message into the mix.
I also am convinced that if and when you/we bring closure to this mess, that there will be no more piling on you Cheryl. Right or wrong, you are a bit outnumbered at this time.
