As many of you know, we have decided since the annual tailgate at the church is so much fun, we would hold one every week from now on, but at various locations. Since I invented the tailgate(or at least people tell me I did), I have assumed the authority to select the site for each weeks tailgate. As some of you already know via e-mail, this weekends site is the new summit of Mt. St. Helens. I chose it because the air will be cool, and the ground will be warm.....something for everyone! Please bring Lava-proof boots.
Sites being considered for the following week include Atlantis, because I've never been there and Yankee Stadium because it's now available until next spring.

I can get the Forbes Field Wall for ya.

Just remember that it was football fans who invented tailgating. No self-respecting real baseball fan would eat in a parking lot when he could be inside watching batting practice.

ya' mean they don't take BP at football games????
damn! no wonder I don't watch that game (won't call it a sport, cause there's nothing sporting about it!)
now... basketball, soccer, hockey, and even baseball (sometimes) are sports!! (although ya' gotta be a real puck to play hockey!)

okay... enough sports bashing... yankees lost and I get to go to bed at a human time again!

Joe,

I hate to tell you, but I am from la (lower Alabama). If you think it was football fans that invented tailgaiting, you need to check your sources.

Excuuuseee me, but THE TAILGATE has nothing to do with sports of any kind. Larry invented THE TAILGATE as a Blunderite Event. Case closed.

Hell, I had no idea in the world how tailgating started. I was just starting shit like I always do. However, you piqued my curiosity so I did some research. Seems like there's a conflict of information out there.

First, I found this & then I discovered this .

That seemed to settle it---then I found this !

So I'm pretty confused right about now...

I vote for Larry myself, if that'll make him happy, altho' IMHO taking credit for inventing tailgating is a lot like taking credit for inventing the leisure suit.

Now, cheese readings----that's a cool invention.

This weekends tailgate will be in Ancient Greece in honor of the late Mr. Peabody and his "Wayback Machine".

I'm stuffin' grape leaves tonight! (But I'll do it sitting down; the soles of my feet are still smokin' from last weekend's tailgate!) Who gets to (has to) be Sherman?

Larry, if we go way back to Ancient Greece for this tailgate party, can we stop in 1972 Texas to pick up Dubya? I hear he was a real party animal back then, and will have a fine stash with him. Maybe we can find his National Guard records along the way, too. Don't worry about him ruining things for us at the party, though. We'll stop somewhere around the time of the Crusades, and drop him off (He'll fit right in there)!

Cheryl, Clinton "inhaled once and didn't like it". Dubya, on the other hand, was high for an entire decade, and can't even remember it, a la Wavy Gravy, only it's the 70's.

Larry, Cant wait to go to Greece! Since its the 'Scary' time of the year, there's a really cool place in far Northeastern Okla. called the Spook Light. I've been there & I've seen it! Could we maybe have a tailgate @ the Spook light? I dont know how to send the link, but if you Google search, you could check it out & let us know if it might be 'Worthy'! You'll find it under Hornet Spook light or Joplin Spook light, {folks in missouri say theirs, but its in Okla}! Just 32 cents worth of nuthin! Peace
