If so that is Cockney Rhymeing slang, it's from London, I've never been there in my life. I'm from Manchester. So hopeing that 'tea' has cleard out of your system, here are some Manchester facts to clarify some confusion.
1) I live here.
2) we're next door to Liverpool, where the Beatles come from.
2) OASIS got rich quick so as to move from here ASAP.
3) We have a very fine industrial herritage.
4) The Free Trade Hall is here, where on 17th May 1966 Doubting Thomas shouted Judas at Mr B.Dylan.
5) And I've been told there is a group of 12 models who kick a bag of wind about for a liveing.
If you ever plan a visit to England I hope you now realize there is more to England than London.

I was born in 78 so I didn't know.

But, I know I am going to get shouted at for this, and I do hope its not going to do any physical harm when I write, I don't know about Manchester England England. I don't have all Mr A Guthrie's Albums AS YET.
For this I do have an explanation before you condemn me of some heathenes travesty. I'm about half missing and when it comes to buying CD's and LP's I am a very week willed person. So if I whent over to the online shop I would have to get all at once and some seeds for my garden and I can't afford it; so I have to wait till my favourite Record Shop gets them in, so I only get them in dribs and brads. I can assure you that the first question I ask every week is "any of my Arlo stuff come in yet?" but as yet I am still some short. I suppose what I am getting at is, if your not too angry with me for not having it in the first place, could you be so kind as to tell me which album the song is on, so I can annoy the Record shop twice as much for it. Pretty Please with Sugar and a Cherry on the top.

oh dear babe in the woods, Hair was a musical, it had such hits as "Give me your head with Hair" and of course "Masterbation can be fun" and one of the other songs was "Manchester, England England over on the other shore", Arlo never played these songs and perhaps never listened to them either.
As far as not having all of Arlo's Records, I must confess that I to do not have them, but then what is the harm in that?
I will try in the future not to make references to songs of the sixties unless you want to hear the words to "back boys are delistous,".

OH!, I thought you ment Musical Hair, as in that from which we have derived our musical taste's from, Arlo Guthrie. As for Musical Names from the 60's, I'm not too sure I'd be interested in your Musical but if you have any other bands/artiest you could recomend I'd be greatful. I have about 350 CD's+LP's and 80% are from the 60's +70's, I'm listening to Fred Neil right now, and I am always on the look out for new names to add to my collection. Thanks, yours Me.

Beverly, you have Sarah 'N Diputously located a true American natural treasure...Nathen...he is a 21st century Will Rogers, homespun philosipher, full of native intelligence, mixed with E Tennessee blarney..take a look at his musings about trying to eradicate his home of mice & you'll see what I mean.
I'd highly recommend Arlo's last cd, "Mystic Journey", amazing songs, some of which he does on tour, now.. also, be sure to get Sarah Lee's debut cd, pure majic... owning her cd, 20 years from now will be like having a napkin, festooned with Enzo Ferrari's conceptual drawings. Sarah's hubby's cd, Johnny Irion's "Unity Lodge" is an amazing mix of cool folk & "enlightebed country"

I have KIDS older than you!!! However, it's good to see that the younger generation has great musical tastes. Keep bugging your local record shop for the Arlo stuff, it's worth collecting. And, if you're in the online shop buying seeds, the Heavenly Blues morning glories are terrific--this is the second year I'll be planting them in my yard. As for other music, are you familiar with Gordon Lightfoot and Carole King? How 'bout James Taylor? All good choices for your listening pleasure.

Thanks for the names everyone. Pat I do have one Gordon lightfoot Dubble LP its only a 'best of' though, but does have some great songs on it, I've tryed Carole King and she was good but just not quite me, and I'll Keep a look out for the James Taylor.
As for Bob Dylan,Every single offical realese and some more!, he takes up 3 and a half CD shelfs and half a record box, then there's a hand full of stuff I keep by the player in my bedroom.
Arlo's Mystic Journey though is one of his I do have, and it realy is just one of those utterly amazing albums! The Mystic Journey song, the first time I heard it, I just had to listen to it 3 or so times running I was just litterly blown away, Thanks Arlo!

Hoyt Axron is another nat'l treasure, any of hos ealy works are, pure cclear & clean. I discovered a young Wash D C folk singer, Grace Griffith, she does her own, & others' songs with a gorgeous singing voice, she's worth it.. soon, I'll list some purely west cost folk singers. You'll learn of the pacific northwest's amazing beauty, through their music, too, a part of my heart'll always be on the N Cal coast0

Hey Nathen, I just thought I would mention it, as you would never guess if I didn't. I was endulgeing in my favourite pass time rummerging through Charity shops/secondhand shops and so on, and I came across the LP for 'Hair' and sure enough there on the track list was 'Manchester England'. I didn't get it as Musicals arn't really my thing, but it being one of those things, not knowing of its excistance, it being mentiond and then finding it, I just thought I would share. Hope you are well, Me.
