Right now we only have a cat. If things every settle down a bit we might look for another dog, but the best ones just seem to arrive in your life. Stevie Ray, the cat, is a great guy, though. He's enjoying being the only child for now.

"......the black recoon, by the light of the moon, heard the music playin soft & low,
and the songs we sang made the nightime ring & the Racoon loved the show....
he went back & told his friends,
"You know those humans that live on the edge of the forrest, they all had a party & man, they really played my kind of music...."

Hoty Axton, RIVER

Eddie is a 6 yr old Lhasa Apso, when Robyn & her hubby moved into a mobile home, Eddie came to live w/ Bill & Nanna & me, at the Connor house, Eddie & I adopted eachother & are known as "The Brats" that phrase is ironical, since ALL Connors are brats, and when the phrase "Brats" is used, no dostinction is made specifying Eddie, or me...we are treated as one, trans-species, high-energy, mess-making, albiet loveable, lifeform.......

Only in blunderland can a talk on wisdom turn into a K-9 fan club, of course, Bumper only has a dust mop, but if it barks like a dog we will allow it.

I won the mouse wars only to be given a chipmonk the other day, it's wild but had been trapped and nearly froze when I got it, so I am trying to get it healthy, weird, put a little hair on a mouse, give it some stripes and it becomes cute.

I visited a freind last night who, with her husband is fostering 2 hens, a rooster and a peacock who were given to them by the owner of a local animal farm/petting zoo who couldn't afford to keep them all. I had never before had the pleasure of meeting such birds up close and personal. Not to mention that they no longer have to go to the store for eggs. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

...speaking of jake, we had a cat named elwood (also a stray) who was the most beautiful, spooky and best natured cat we had ever known. she looked so wild and fierce, but her meow was so sweet and she was so gentle.

Nathen, you're right, but over the long run, how could SO be discussed without including cats and dogs? I'm sure that interacting with them is how we got a clue about it in the first place.

1 Who was the first person to look at a cow and say, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here, and drink whatever comes out?"
2 Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp which no decent human being would eat?
3 Why is there a light in the fridge and not in the freezer?
4 If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a song about him?
5 If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of coconut, why can't he fix a hole in a boat?
6 Why do people point to their wrist when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?
7 Why does your OB-GYN leave the room when you get undressed if they are going to look up there anyway?
8 Why does goofy stand erect while Pluto remains on all fours? They're both dogs!
9 If Wile E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that Acme crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?
10 Why is a person that handles your money called a 'Broker'?
11 If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?
12 If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?
13 Is Disney World the only people trap operated by a mouse?
14 Do illiterate people get the full effect of Alphabet Soup?
15 Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him on a car ride, he sticks his head out the window?

that should keep you folks busy for a while, I just love these pop quizs.

fanfastic list, Nathen, I wish Id asked those ?s!!!
Eddie does a great "dog" imitation....he takes a deep breath at the 1st sighting of a stranger, then, lets a bark rip that sounds like it came from a dog weighing 75 lbs...
(hes not reading this, now....so, I can say...when he curls up in a ball, he does resemble one large bedroom slipper...!)

Nathen,
Please don't fry my brain--I am studying for a Killer Midterm on Monday--(see Question 11) The only thing I have learned from my "Organization of Information" class so far is that I never NEVER want to be a cataloguer. Although, a Blunderite Dewey Decimal system would be fun to ponder....

Dear Pat,

I think I see the problem here, the class you are calling "Organization of Information"
is really a political science course called "Information for Organization", perhaps you have been reading the course material backwards.

please turn your book over and try again.

yours truly

Nathen

Try taking the class called "Organizing Disorganized Obliviosity in Our Confused Times". I used to teach this course as a matter of fact. If you can grasp the concepts of this course, you can become Selectivley Oblivious.

You sir, are stuck in what we call the Twilight Zone Deja' Vu Loop. Don't try staying there without lots of coffee.

Dear Professor Larry
and Assistant Professor Nathen,

It it Obvious to me that my Information will never be Organized enough to pass this midterm. Is there a rule or theorem in SO that will allow me (and any future employers) to be Selectively Oblivious as to my grades for this class?

Please advise.
An Oblivious Student (OS)
of Selective Obliviousity (SO)
