I can't speak for Arlo and Ma, or anyone else for that matter, but SO is for me what Bumper said; seeing oneself as part of the whole of life, and acting accordingly, which includes a focus that ignores that which would distract you from what is real. Let's not try to define "real," please. <img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Thanks, Ceashel, I counldnt find a good, shorthand way of describing the obliviosity part, last night, you did it, this am.
I guess the other aspect of S O is that you do it, with a kind of altruisticly clandestine approach, to keep the ego, in check, i.e. not going thru your day, shouting "See how wonerful I am!!!"
There, see how wonderful that is? heehee, just teasin......The other fun part, of S O, to me, is that we're making it up, as we go along. Nathen amplofies it, everytime he posts, almost, well....with some special twists, cuz he's Nathen..... Muffy, is this helping?

But what happens when your reality check bounces? (And should "reality check" be added to that list on another thread?)

It's helping, it's helping, but what happened to the post I posted earlier? I know I tried posting, anyway. Don't know what happened to the post.
I had said thanks, and then mentioned that I'll be happy to listen to the song next time it comes around on the guitar, and would've done so before had I known it was a song, and had it come around on any of the guitars (or CD players, even) within my own hearing range.
But I don't see it anywhere on this thread. Hmmmmn.

Damn! I still love this thread! I went back to page 15 and read it backwards up to page one which is really forwards anyway. Bumper, maybe we should publish it!!! Now, after abusing my powers as a minor wizard and moderator by re-opening this thread for this post, I shall close this thread once again. Thank you and goodnight.
