I'm now the proud owner of half of the domain name, uselessactivities.com (don't ask). So, now we need to put something up there. I just have a feeling that there could be a goldmine of suggestions here, right?

ok... I've got a nasty head cold, so i'll share my misery....

fill it with photos of stuff that blunderites do between gigs

or

fill it with photos of larry playing hockey!
<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/eek.gif" width=15 height=15>

or

make it a compendium of links to sites such as KC & the Sunshine Band
or better yet... links back to itself...

or

photos of me at work... (oops, sorry, you said USELESS not HOPELESS!)

or

if you wanna get political... links and photos of the Green party?

or

a compendium of all the diets that I (and I'm sure others here) have tried in the past...

it's useless to continue (for now)

Sorry about the cold, Arnie. Hope you feel better soon. Thanks for the suggestions, though. I'm sure there are some promising ideas in the bunch. I hope for more. I feel sure that there are many experts on useless activities here.

Useless activities? How about the daily presidential briefing?? That would seem to be a waste of time for those that GIVE it!

hmmm, kinda like herding cats or getting your siblings to agree on anything or even to get together once in a while, or more like games like solitaire or watching daytime TV, or stuff like washing your car on a cloudy day or even maybe something like reasoning with a teenager?

Will this be a list of stuff or a site of pics, stories, links, etc.?

I may be able to think of something usable if I try just a little, but that may be useless as well..

Well, stew, the whole site will be totally useless if it even happens. Right now I wouldn't set any limits on what might be covered or explored. Frivolity, futility, mindlessness are all fertile ground. Even counter-productivity could be considered, even though technically that's worse than useless. Let your imagination go! Credit will happily be given.

Pat: Tom Ridge and whatever it is he's supposed to be doing for homeland security. Look up USELESS in the dictionary, and there's his picture!

Pat,does it have to be a useless activity, or can it be a useless thing? And if so, are you planning on listing any of the classics? You know, such classics as "Useless as tits on a bull"???

Besides playing endless games of Spider Solitare, my favorite useless internet activity is shopping with no money, which consists of Filling Carts. I like to go to a site and when I see something I like, it goes right in the cart. And so does the next thing I like, maybe in all five colors. I stuff those carts to the cyber-brim with everything my little heart desires, and then I abandon it in the cyber-aisle and go to bed. An activity can't get much more useless than that. I hope your site has carts.

Hey, StillBatty....that's MY favorite thing to do too!! (the unshopping cart thing..)
Have you tried the reverse game where you try to put everything back where you found it?
I can never get that part right.

Come to the beach. Job season is open...tourists are here. The empty streets we walked are now full of people.
We could go play that store game together AND try to copy the accents of all the visitors..<img src="http://www.arlo.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif" width=15 height=15>

Hey... those kids need the money... after all, it doesn'd grow on trees, does it!?!

And it will keep them off the streets, and out of trouble...

wait a minute... this is sounding too useful...

Uhhhh... how about lining all those cybercarts outside Bill Gates' zillion dollar house, and "windows" shop there!

Love ya's
