This is probably the wrong section for this but what the heck. McKendree Spring is mentioned in here so I'll just go ahead. I think I saw them 5 times in one week or weekend at the University I attended in Illinois. They played in the coffeehouse. there, and we all just sat there mesmerized and cried our eyes out on many of the songs. There is nothing like being there in person or there wasn't at the time. So many of their songs were so darned sad but so beautiful!

well, whether it is real or a hoax, whoever made it seemed to have a sense of humor.

from either perspective i thought is was funny.

if it is real, i can't seem to be upset with them? even if i am not on board with their religion.

if it is fake, it is a really committed fake.

i could hardly believe my eyes and didn't know what to think and it made me laugh.

in a different vein, something i have posted before, i don't have all the same beliefs as this, but we do both like crystals (i can appreciate his admiration of crystals) , but i also thought it was funny, in the way he went on about some stuff. made me smile.

Watching that crystal video now. Interesting. Maybe I'll make a few for fun. :)

yeah alum looks like it would be fun to mess with in growing crystals!

my grandparents (staunchly) refused to use alum in their pickle making (i discovered it best to slice their pickles longways in quarters, instead of just biting straight into them), and in turn they influenced me to prefer aluminum free baking powder (whenever i would ever use it)
we never had a container of alum in our kitchen. but it looks like it has great crystal growing potential, looks like fun!

this, on the other hand, i don't think i want to mess with at all, but what a spectacle
