yeah it is a serious subject matter, i thought it was a good video though

but as far as smooth transitions go, it probably was a bit ludicrous.

brought a tear!

LOL , it is from a very small rural part of Maryland called the "7th district",some of the old timers down in that part of St.Marys county Maryland still talk in that very strange dialectic .Most use it to affirm the truth,to swear to God ,not a lie .

anyhow, i hope all is well

That was fun. Boy can that guy play the fiddle. I love the way Steve Martin would step up sing three words then step back. I remember watching Saturday Night Live when he first did King Tut. So funny. The exhibition was touring then and it was a really big news item. I don't understand how either song would be considered jazz, but what the heck.

Thanks Agnes.

Hello G1 & Agnes.

Remember this ?

http://youtu.be/c8N72t7aScY

i have actually never seen that movie, but became aware of it after i got on arlonet!

was revisiting some of the clips, saw this again.
this almost makes it sound like i was saying i was unaware the movie existed (before i got on arlonet)?

i was aware 2001 space odyssey existed (had heard the title mentioned now and again, book and movie), but didn't know what it was about. (was unaware of the content)
re: dave and hal 1000 and that, till i got on arlonet. reference to dave being the webmaster. (some folks here did that now and again for fun i think)

was a little in the dark about the references, read a little about stuff on the interwebz, eventually saw a clip or two, but that is about it.
