We all know misdirection is your forte but it gets a little old after awhile. The bankers in charge at the time of the Great Depression are the very Bankers you said should have been allowed to make the corrections that would have made the great depression just a great recession. The heads of these banks wore the legacy of JP Morgan who designed the system because he was tired of paying for these corrections himself. They were administering a banking structure that could have dumped loads of money from a helicopter but chose not to do so out of greed. They wanted to drive unemployment up and "recalibrate" wages (drive them down) and they wanted to drive "inferior" banks out of the market. Your "facts" as you say (posting a you tube video of Milton Friedman without comment) pretty much corroborate.
