Even if he comes to NC, they still sound good.

I just saw Arlo Guthrie for the first time in Indiana at Conner Prairie. Best concert I've been to hands down out of the 18 years I've been on this Earth.

I think it is so cool that Arlo is finally catching on with older folks like you

Thanks. Good to be a part of it. Hopefully, Arlo's got a good 5-10 years left in him to perform so I have the chance to see him again. Great musician, great storyteller. He went on a 5-minute tangent about Joseph and his brothers(from the Bible) after stopping in the middle of "This Land Is Our Land" when a bug flew in his ear. My former high school teacher took me to see him and she even recorded his 5-minute story.

A few years back with Abe and Gordon at the Marlboro Mass High School auditorium. I freaked when I opened the local paper and saw Arlo would be playing the next town over in a high school auditorium for a local ARC benefit for 15.00-best 15.00 I ever spent. Then he does a meet and greet afterwards ! Had I known I would have brought my copy of "Mooses Come Walking". What a guy.

Phil Lesh still tours year round in his seventies....so Arlo should have way more travels left infront of him....(especially if he gives up the tobacco road).

I saw Arlo for the first time in 2009 with Richie Havens at Bethel Woods (the site of the original Woodstock). I've told that story a couple of times here so I won't say more on the topic other than the fact that Arlo was as awesome as I had always hoped he would be.

I got to see him once more at Bethel Woods a year later. I had initially gotten tickets for my girlfriend and I to see Peter, Paul and Mary. Due to health issues, Mary Travers was unable to perform that night so attendees were compensated (unnecessarily, as Peter Yarrow and Noel (Paul) Stookey did a fine job together without Mary that night) by being given free tickets to see Arlo with the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra later that summer. That was quite a treat as well.

He's playing in Stroudsburg, PA (about an hour from me) in November and I'm hoping to get to see him there for my third time around.
