I love the Dr. John/Jools Holland, Agnes (and here's a really embarassing admission: I thought JH was a woman...I think I have him confused with someone else...he reminds me of Freddy from My Fair Lady in that one...)

Yes, I know about that Jools Holland, but the one I'm talkin' about is most certainly not a man, take my word for it!!! And she is the one who is singing "Stuck Inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues Again" that agnes posted. (I swear I'm not trying to confuse anybody :? )

If'n ya don't believes me, click on this:

http://youtu.be/hIqNanL-J3c

(jools holland is the feller over on piano) :)

great clip though, i am glad you posted it!
(i am thinking sam brown is the name of the person singing?)

next, on to heraclitis's'es' !!

NOOOOO! Sam Brown is that feller on the piano, and Jools is the lady blasting out the vocals!!! Like I said before, there are TWO Jools Holland's

Aw Kevin, you got my hopes up that maybe there really were two performers with the same unusual name (at which point one would have to wonder whether they were related)...but, no, Sam Brown is the singer, not the pianist, and she has performed with Jools Holland.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_Brown_%28singer%29

This is just like the British, confusing us by giving the girl the boy's name and the boy the girl's name.

And the Gaiman/Ritter duet is now up on Youtube as a short video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkLhrvYu ... ure=relmfu

And here's I Will Survive:

Sadly no Maxwell's Silver Hammer, but lots of other good stuff -- MPRdotOrg has a good channel.

 Drats! Remember in the movie Casa Blanca, when the German SS guy asks Bogart what brought him to Casa Blanca? Bogart answers, "I came here for the waters." To which the guy declares,"But there isn't any water within 100 miles." To which Bogart replies,"I was misinformed."

Well Eileen, thanks for doing the research. I've certainly been wrong many times before, but I can't remember being this wrong for this long a time. I hate it when this happens

Double Drats :!:

On the upside, it's good to learn something new everyday.........especially humility :|

and now for another 60's guitar GOD
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6X-au2E4cw

I mean, who can forget when this came out featuring Sonny and Larry Coryell on guitar

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQLAZVI5tAE

Larry takes the first solo followed by Sonny doing his sonic craziness after the vibes. I remember Bill Cosby saying he would love to hear Sonny and Jimi Jam.

In Oregon. Can't see the stars or the mountain right now because of the clouds. That stuff didn't bring me down either. All good stuff. I didn't think it was bringing anybody down. That's why I don't know why. It always amazes me how creativity breeds creativity...
