It was in the very early seventies when I first saw Arlo in concert. It was in a place called the Reddog Inn in Lawrence, Kansas. I will never forget Arlo's opening remarks. He said, "you know, I have a manager and my manager gets 10% of everything I make. He called me up the other day and said-Arlo, boy, you ain't workin enough-so here I am. Arlo is also the favorite artist of my wife. She is a classically trained flute player and lifelong choir director and Arlo is the only one we mostly agree on. When we first met, she invited me up to her apartment to have homemade spaghetti and watch Arlo on a summer program hosted by Johnny Cash. It was January 15, 1970 and that following July 20 we were married. Whenever Arlo is within 300 or 400 miles of our hometown-Katy, Texas, we see him in concert. I love to continually share Arlo with all the younger generation. Peace Bill <><

Welcome to the site. Ya'll remind me of my late hubby Mike & I. I got him into Arlo and he claimed he got me into Arlo. He would go with me to Arlo shows and was my concert buddy. I sure miss him. He used to talk about seeing Arlo on the Johnny Cash show.

70's, pretty sure. Jaime Bronketts opened. Think it was Tuscaloosa...somewhere in North Alabama...

The one and only time I've seen Arlo live was in 1995. The next time he came to Portland, Oregon where I live I had to be away on a trip. I am looking forward to seeing him again whenever he comes out this way.

i am blessed beyond words. i get to see him 'AGAIN" this year!! he came to Kent earlier and he is coming to Cleveland. i already got tickets.

i think the first time i saw Arlo was in the 70's and i am guessing he was with Pete at Blossom in Akron. i wish i remembered more. i have a tiny bit of memory problems, especially long term. i do recall not going to see him afterwards. around the same time i saw/got Harry Chapin's autograph and thought should i??? and i didn't..oh stupid teenager!!

I saw Arlo for the first and only time in April of 2005...what a blessing that I got to meet him for an autograph...that was over 6 years ago...how time flies...but what an experience...

First time I saw Arlo was at the Newport Folk Festival in 1967. This is the first year in quite some time that we have not seen
Arlo live. He skipped the Carolinas this year but we're hoping to make up for it next year. Hopefully catch him in Va or Fl if
the Carolinas are skipped again.

Thanks Cheryl. Richmond and Hampton sound good if Arlo does not make it to
the Carolinas.
