I am on Facebook, too, yes, but mostly being quiet and reflective. Or possibly just lazy. My pseudo-brain cell goes into hibernation this time of year.

LOL. The only reason I do Facebook is Arlo is on there and a few friends and nieces and nephews. If it weren't for them, I'd probably not be too interested in it...

To misquote a great man (Vol. 1 of whose autobiography I received for Yule), "Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated." Thank you dearly, Agnes, for the concern. I have been spending much of my free time on the dreaded FaceBorg (yes, I have been assimilated!) and drinking an occasional glass of absinthe. Not to mention that it's winter and with the wood stove a goin', it gets so warm that I nod out a lot. Or .... maybe it's the absinthe? Besides, the only thing I've really had to bitch about lately is Willie Nelson getting busted for pot. What's with that? Leave Willie alone!!!!! Other than that I've been leading my normally sedate and sleepy life except that I've got a five hour gig this Friday night. Well, at least there's free food! I hope you had a cool Yule and expect you to have a danged good New Year! And no, I'm not in possession of "The Brain Cell". The absinthe takes care of that!

eileen, love that!! thanks! and good to hear from you and zap!! oh i will try to be more patient during the quieter times, but it is not always easy and i can't promise i will be entirely good at it (it gets so crazy in here sometimes, i may have got a little bit spoilt) :) i will keep james hill in mind! (me and my haphazard self), and i sure wouldn't mind attending zap's new years eve concert party gig either! rattle the house! and cool yule present! i heard about that book somewhere,,,i forget where...the radio i think...and that it is something notorious, which is why he waited so long to release it or something like that...i forget! i heard nothing of the kind about the willie nelson thing though...why that is just silly...it is like saying to a bird it can't fly because it is illegal,,,i agree, leave willie alone!

Happy New Year to all of you. May 2011 be the best you ever had. Maybe we will meet in blunder chat. Since the times of facebook etc. people seem to wander, but I like it best here. It is like home, and I like the new "interior design". It just fits perfectly.

Thanks Brigitte, I wish you too a wonderful 2011. We also celebrated the new year with champagne but I was too much tired to chat in the middle of the night, I was just in Blunderchat early (here) this morning. The Clam must be hungry, there was not a lot to eat !!! ……..FB? probably! but I think that it is less important than here and it will never take the place of this « home »

Where and how do you happen to have Absinthe, is it not Illegal in the U.S.? It is here in Ontario and controlled by Canadian Customs in other Provinces. I've never tried it although I have heard some wild tales and adventures from those that have had it.
In some places it is classed as a drug and others an Apparitiff, I am assuming it is like "Pernod" I bring that home from the U.K., yellowin color, annisette or Licorice taste and you add water to suit each individual. Just curious.

It's okay in some states now but (according to a liquor store owner), due to its high alcohol content, not in some others. Mine's French, bought in Finland. No tales of mythical debauchery to relate on this end. Yet....
