I couldn't stay awake last night, went to bed at eleven when the number of seats was about even.
Got up this mornin and raced to the gate for the paper. The headline read NATION IN LIMBO. We could have a hung Parliament for the first time since WW11.
The greens have won a seat for the first time and we know they will side with Labor. But there are a few independants who have taken seats and they will decide the outcome when they decide which side they will take.
So I'm sorry but you may have to keep everything crossed for a couple more days! :D

I think I heard on the news that Australia for the first time has a female Prime Minister.

:D :D :D Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa We won!
After 17 days we have a result! Labor has won, 76 seats to 74 seats.
We now have the first elected female Prime Minister in this country.
If you are interested in the details just Google Australian Election Results or Julia Gillard.
