This is a brief interview (with 2 songs) by Arlo Guthrie on the Pat Kenny radio show on RTE Radio 1 in Ireland. It was broadcast nationwide on 8/4/10. (By nationwide, I mean in Ireland.) Arlo was scheduled to play at the Black Box in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the next night.

It was not captured on a sophisticated recorder by the taper. A Panasonic RX-DT 401 was used to capture the FM, and that device is, I recall, a boom box with a radio and cassette tape recorder. It appears that it was recorded on cassette and then transferred to a hard drive and then converted to FLAC. And that's how I got it.

Because it was recorded rather primitively off the air (boom boxes were really something of the Eighties, I think), I remastered it. I corrected the speed because it seemed that it was running too fast, and I filtered out a hum.

Rather than burning about 14 minutes of a radio broadcast on CD-Rs and mailing them to a few people, I converted these audio files to mp3s. And I uploaded them to MEGAUPLOAD.
