I was just sitting here in my nice cumfy chair listening to Arlo and Willie (City of New Orleans tour) on Mrs G's Youtube uploads and I got to thinking. Wouldn't it be cool if somehow Arlo and Willie could record a CD together? Arlo has this ever been thought of? Anyhow just a thought...I am putting my bets on it being a pretty good recording. Hope you are enjoying the break from the road. You deserve it.

T-Bone Burnett is producing Willie's bluegrass album. When I said to Willie that he was doing "real country music", he laughed and said, "In case you forgot." Henry is a phenomenally brilliant producer. Crazy Heart is poised to pick up Oscars.

I think you're right. A combination of those talents would be pure Americana and that would be a fantastic album. We could benefit from a dose of that, IMHO, but you know that's really something for the artists to want to do. That's a session I'd love to watch.

I agree they both have to want to do it but I love the idea though. What a combination of talent on one album it would be. Anyhow, You never know maybe someday...there may be atime when the planets are aligned just right it could just verywell come together.

Yep. Now would be a good time. It would be even better if they sat down and wrote some songs. Covers, ok. Old tunes, always good. But they are wise buzzards and could make some awesome feel good feel better sayings. Add Henry to give it that magical mystery mix he's the master of and I think they'd sweep the table.

I watched Taking Woodstock tonight. Woodstock wasn't one place. It happened all over the world at different times for the next five or so years, and I was a kid going out playing gigs in an old Microbus like a friend of ours.

It made me glad and a little lost. Now as then, music brought me home. I think it always will as long as I give it away for free.
