Over a hundred thousand thought to be dead, fragile infrastructure destroyed, water contaminated, and the potential for thousands of more deaths...there is no ambulance or hospital to take the injured to. Donate to the Red Cross if you can afford to, please.

And what does Pat Robertson have to say about this?? Nothing helpful. They "had it coming" because they were "in league with the devil". How can he say a hundred thousand human beings deserved to die??? I find this to be unforgivable. And ignorant. Probably bigoted. It's amazing that people are willing to follow someone with that kind of outrageous crap coming out of his mouth. No compassion, no help thy neighbor, no sympathy.

Karma is gonna be a bitch for him...!!

i couldn't help but think that if we humans weren't so caught up in the expense of war we would have plenty of resources for things like this

if we could get our collective heads out of our collective asses!

So sorry to hear about those folks. I like Pat Robertson but this time he did not think before he spoke. They did not deserve to die. Prayers and vibes just said and sent...

Not defending him, by any means, but his ministries are sending food and stuff. But he seems to be a freakin' religious zealot moron whenever he opens his mouth. WTF was he thinking?

Pat Robertson is the guy God calls for advice and perhaps approval before he does stuff. As I have stated in another venue Pat Robertson has also been blessed by God with a medical miracle in that he is immune from hemmoroids.......because perfect assholes don't get hemmoroids.

Finding him is easy, it's trying to lose him that seems to present a challenge.

My ass does not make collections. (And that would be burro to you) I second Sue's thoughts - give if you can (and even if you can't) to help those folks out.

Random thought(s):

Does a child who places her/his hand on a active stove burner deserve to suffer? Does an individual who unknowingly steps out into the path of a speeding car deserve to be injured? Does a drunk have the right to operate a vehicle? Do a people of a different belief deserve to be tortured for that belief if it doesn't align with ours/yours? How is innocence determined? How is deserved punishment arrived at? How is guilt measured equitably? What is the standard by which guilt or innocence is measured? Is it the same for everyone or just certain people?

Which brings to mind a line from a tune by Steve Stills: "All men are created equal it's just that some are more equal than others." (Poor paraphrase). Which also brings to mind a line from a tune by the Neville Bros.: "It's freedom of speech just as long as you don't say too much."
