Thank you for the birthday wishes. It is so nice to receive them from around the world.
Chonklit cake would have been great, but I am trying to loose some weight so it was salad instead. The day was a usual sunday with going to the soccer field watching the games and having a Bratwurst (had to have me some of that, soccer without a german bratwurst just doesn't work).
Love and Peace
Brigitte

Im glad you had a great birthday. Soccer and a bratwurst counts as "chonklit cake"--it's whatever you want the most for your birthday, I think. Happy birthweek--keep partying with that salad!

Thank you gals :)
If you ever come over here I take you for a bratwurst variety tour. There are so many different good ones. I party hardy on some cucumbers out of my neighbours garden right now, Ceashel, but truly am craving for some "Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte" = Black Forest Cherry Pie. Oh well....

Brigitte, there are no calories in any food you eat celebrating your birthday! Have a little piece of Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte! I remember eating some of that when I was in Germany, and it would definitely be worth living on salad for days afterwards, if you're feeling guilty about indulging!

Oh Judy, that's the problem, I don't feel guilty and indulge a lot  But once in a while I have to hit the breaks. And for me I rather don't eat any sweets or a lot, one piece is not enough. But next week my aunt, who lives in the US Upstate New York, is visiting and we will have some Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte with coffee. Mmmmmmmunch.
And if ever one of you guys comes to Frankfurt, we will have the Schwarzwälder after the Bratwurst.
