This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land...What needs explaining?

There are several words in the Irish language for the word land. Depending on how the word land is used in English would determine what word we would use in Irish for the translation.

Talamh could be used for land, as in a parcel of land or maybe earth.
Tir (with a accent on the i) could be used for country, as well as land.

Then I would suggest Tir, as "land" can mean both country and the earth or soil, and I have always heard both meanings in the song.

This concept is basically the "secret" that King Arthur had to rediscover in order to reconnect with the Grail, that "you and the land are one".

I always thought his favorite Knight of the Round Table was Saturday!

To me, a Scottish accent is pleasing to the ear. Especially when someone like Sean Connary is doing the speaking. May have something to do with being half Scottish and half Irish meself......My great-grandfather (Grandpa Scott) spoke like that......

I always thought those British, Scottish, and Oz accents etc sounded neat...
