I just tried to purchase a ticket for Thursday's show and it says SOLD OUT! I am hardly surprised, so what was I thinking waiting so long? Does anyone out there by any chance have a single ticket for the show I could purchase ? Anybody else going to be there from here? I would love to meet you. Hmmmm, now I am feeling sad - maybe I will just hang out in line... :)
Love that line at the Ark on Main Street!

A lot of times, when you need just ONE ticket, call the theater anyway...they frequently have singles available.

Thanks, Sue ! I don't have the phone number for the Ark, the tickets are sold at the Michigan Student Union and ticketmaster , so I will find that.

I have read elsewhere here a couple of fine synopsis of the show, so I wont post that, but I did want to share that the feeling at the Ark is very intimate. Thursday night the music was nothing short of beautiful. The Burns sister's back up vocals and the band were exquisite, Arlo the master of folk tales, has you laughing one minute and crying the next. :) All the while you are within feet of them, surrounded by people who are also there because of their mutual admiration and respect for the man and his music (words that express compassion for people, to forgive and to love seems to me to be seamlessly woven into his storyboard), all while having a great time listening to Arlo recounting stories of the past.

mymy mymymy mymymymymy!
Pie in the sky
Tear in the eye
How I do love that guy!

THANK YOU to all those who posted suggestions, sent PMs and especially to the kind soul who released their seat so I could see the show.

Wanted to share that Arlo was introduced that night as "Folk Royalty", and when he took the mike, he said, "Folk Royalty, my dad would have gotten a kick out of that!"

speaking of Arks.....I saw a comic in the newspaper witin the last week or so that depicted Noah standing outside the ark working a hotdog stand telling his patron, "Actually, when we set out, we brought 3 of everything." :)
