Thanks ya'll. My mom is calming down lol. I think she is having to get used to me living with her & my dad again. She remembers when I was a teenager & college age kid living with her.

I went thru some of it yesterday & will got thru more today. I found my Tommy James cd's & records. I dunno where my cassettes are of him & the Monkees & Arlo. But as long as I have the album & cd's that's the main thing I guess. Saved some other records of Mikes I wanted too. They had all my Arlo cd's & some of my records of him up for auction. I even found in the auction stuff some of my jewelry & had to save that. In it were some necklaces with coal in them that Mike had bought me in WV. Some family videos I had filmed on my folks video camera and some of Arlo & people from Starsky and Hutch that taped off of the tv, were in with the sale stuff. They never bothered to look & see what the videos were of. I think what happened is they started getting stuff before I was able to say I wanted for the Monkees, Arlo, Tommy James, Mod Squad, Starsky and Hutch, Welcome Back Kotter, Chico and the Man etc to be saved. I saved a bunch of old 60's & 70's shows like Dukes of Hazzard, Andy Griffith etc. Sad thing is my Mod Squad, Chico & the Man, Here Come The Brides, Welcome Back Kotter, Monkees dvd's and some of the Partridge Family dvd's are missing & I only have the boxes. I had moved them from the boxes to a portable cd/dvd case so I could take them on trips like our upcoming trip to Nags Head, NC which will now be made with my folks & no Mike. Man I hope I find that. I still cannot find the album of the 60's & 70's group Spindrift Liberate that my cousin was in & I want to save that so bad. Not only is it worth alot of bread, but there are sentimental memories for me with my cousin being in the group. And I love the music. My 9-track tapes are missing but I had to let my stereo go as only had room for the antique one I got Mike a few yrs back that had record player, radio, cd & cassette in it. So I need prayers that I can find it. Another zippered case with cd's in it is missing but they were ones I burned off of ones I had or the internet so I wouldn't have to bring my original copy in the car. Busy, busy, busy. And the auction sale is Sat...

I hope you locate your stuff, Cheryl...it's hard when someone else has been digging through your stuff and not considering your memories connected with it.
I remember going home from college for the summer just before my last year at Ball State University. I was 21, and my mom had been telling me when to go to bed, when to get up and generally treating me like a 15 year old... after three years of successfully
living away from home, monitoring my hours and getting all my class work and art studio class projects done and in on time. It drove me completely freaking nuts! I finally had a little discussion with her about just that...the fact that I'd successfully kept my grades up and gotten up for classes every day and been responsible for myself. It came out that it was hard not being in the "Mom" mode...even though I was an adult; sometimes parents forget we're capable of self-monitoring ourselves and slip into old patterns...which is difficult for some people to let go of, especially if your preferred lifestyle differs.

Sounds like my mom lol. I think I p'd off the auction folks. The daughter of the auction folks went to school with Mike. Well I went back yesterday with my mom to take more stuff to be sold to find more of my stuff & get it. When she saw that I had gone thru & gotten some of my stuff she was pd' pff. She told me & my mom she was mad at me for going thru the stuff. Cuz they had taken time to catalog all the records & things. And she claimed they'd now have to do it all over again. I told her I was sorry but there was some personal stuff of mine I had to get. She wasn't happy that I'd took back all Mikes & mines Dukes Of Hazzard dvd's. Well I'm sorry but I've always enjoyed Dukes Of Hazzard ever since it first came on tv and Mike did too & it no longer comes on tv cuz CMT took it off. The only way I can watch it again is thru the dvd's. She talked like well folks had seen them & were interested in buying them. Well I can't afford to buy the dvd's of Dukes Of Hazzard all over again & it doesn't come on tv anymore. I had a bunch of my Arlo cd's in a zippered cd case. I found those. She wasn't happy about that cuz she thought they could sell. Sorry but those Arlo cd's are precious to me. And I found my vhs tapes I had taped of Byrds of Paradise and Arlo on some other shows in the sale stuff as well as a vhs tape of Mike & my family & some of his family I had tape one Christmas yrs & yrs ago with my folks camcorder. All that is irreplaceable stuff. Byrds of Paradise will probably never be shown on tv ever again or put out on dvd. I found a Johnny Irion cd but not his other one & none of the Sarah Lee and Johnny cd's or Sarah Lee's solo cd I had. I guess they are gone forever. I had my Arlo cassette tapes in a nice cassette tape box with Arlos name on it that I bought at an Arlo show. That as well as my other cassette tapes like the Monkees, and Tommy James etc are missing. And so are my 8-track tapes. On the cassettes & 8tracks I guess as long as I have the albums & cd's of them I'll survive. And I don't have an 8-track player anymore cuz I had to let my 70's stereo and Mikes old 8-track deck go. These Arlo cd's of mine are missing:

Live In Sydney, In Times Like These , Son Of The Wind, the 2 albums on cd with Pete Seeger, All Over The World, Woody's 20 Grow Big Songs,Hard Travelin' (Soundtrack). I noticed on RSR's site that one of those is out of stock. Yuck.

The nice stereo in the bedroom which was radio/cd and cassette (we'd always wanted to get a record player for it) and Mikes stereo, I had to let go cuz of no room. I did keep the antique looking stereo with radio, record player, cassette & cd and one of Mikes boom boxes. I kept my Beatles records & a few of Mikes I didn't have but had to let the rest go cuz of no room for them and needed the bread. It was sad to have to let his Elvis & Johnny Cash etc records go but I had no choice with my folks not having the room for it. I found a coupla postcards of my cousin Jason Mraz the folksinger that he had autographed for Mike & I in with the for sale stuff. Of course they had no idea that was pics of my cousin. Evidently pics of folks relatives sell at auctions cuz in 95 when my folks moved to their 2nd home they had an auction to sell stuff they couldn't bring with them & I remember some antique pics probably from the turn of the century of some of my dads kinfolks who were from somewhere in NY maybe NYC being auctioned off. I think the concerts I filmed of cousin Jason are missing. And the concerts I filmed of Peter Tork of the Monkees. Don't know if they're in the storage shed or gone forever. Speaking of cousins, I never did find that Spindrift Liberate album my cousin was on. It's either somehow mixed in with my stuff in my storage shed I have stuff in or gone forever. That cousin used to be in a gospel group called Arise & we had all of their cd's . Those are gone.

I found my Mike Nesmith of the Monkees albums in for sale & had to get them. I had told my cousins son-in-laws friends who were getting out the records for to go to auction & to save mine for me that no Monkees records were to go. Evidently they didn't know they were mine & had no idea Mike Nesmith was a Monkee. Those dudes didn't know who Arlo was & one of them was in his 50's lol. So those poor guys didn't know. This is why young folks should be taught about the 60's & 70's music. At least I got to keep Mikes Paul Revere & the Raiders records and a coupla Dylan ones & a few others. I wanted to keep Mikes records of the group the Outsiders who had out Time Won't Let Me in the 60's. I found one of them and not the other one. And I wanted the cd he got of them & that is missing. Like a nut I let Mike keep some of my records with his cuz he wanted to play them. That's how they got in with his stuff in the to sell stuff. And the cd's and cassettes, I could never keep up with where he had them. I had some cd's of hymns & Christmas music play on the mountain & hammered dulcimer which I had gotten in Ohio & also at craft shows. Gone.


I had to let some adorable teapot sets that were lighthouse teapots & creamer etc that Mike had gotten me in Nags Head for tour anniversary some yrs ago. I adored them but no room for them at my folks. So sad.

And I couldn't go look for the zippered cd/dvd case that I had put some of my Mod Squad and Partridge Family and my Monkees, Welcome Back Kotter, Here Come the Brides, Chico and the Man in, cuz the auction people were too p'd that I'd gone thru the stuff & taken some stuff back. Well I would've been glad to help them out in cataloging & putting together the stuff in exchange for being able to go thru the stuff & get my stuff I wanted. Now I'm gonna have to replace my Mod Squad and Partridge Family and my Monkees, Welcome Back Kotter, Here Come the Brides, Chico and the Man dvd's. And how I'm gonna afford it I dunno.

Hey maybe Arlo can hold a concert where the ticket prices are reduced if you bring either a Mod Squad, Here Come the Brides, or Partridge Family dvd set or a Monkees, Welcome Back Kotter, Chico and the Man dvd. LOL. Man after Mike died when some friends met me at the house & I gave them some knicknacks I had cuz I couldn't take them with ne, that's when I should've been grabbing cd's and dvd's & trying to find my records among Mikes. Wel,, I did save a birthday card my folks gave me in 1965 & I had saved it all those yrs lol.

Cheryl, over the weekend I did a lot of thinking about you... this stuff is YOURS until they actually sell it (I think...) and then YOU are supposed to get some of that money. If you change your mind about selling your own stuff, seems to me that that's your choice.

PLEASE check with a lawyer NOW... get back as much as you possibly can. And see if you can get a small place to live away from your parents. They seem to be controlling every aspect of your life. It's NOT "cute" anymore... and I'm very concerned for your health at this point.

I'm going to see what CDs I have that maybe I can at least copy for you until you can replace them with the real deal. I'm not in a financial position to buy them for you, but please accept my offer in the spirit in which it is meant. It'll take me time to do because I still haven't made the copies of a show that I was supposed to pass along here... I barely have time to do my schoolwork... but my heart's in the right place and I'll do what I can.

Cheryl, those auction people WORK FOR YOU. You are the customer, and they shouldn't be trying to boss you around. They're doing it becasue they'll make a little less money, and apparently they don't care about what these things mean to you. Also, the things are yours, not your parents'. So maybe your room will be a little crowded; oh, well...

It's none of my business (that's never stopped me before), but if asked I would say that I'm with Terrie; a small apartment sounds much better, if that's do-able, perhaps from the sale of the house. If it isn't, you may need to negotiate the "rules" for your living there as an adult.

Hang in there; be strong. Our Blundervibes are bringing us to "be" around you when you're facing what almost amounts to theft of your prized possessions. (Kind of like the cell-phone commercial where the guy has a whole crowd of phone company people with him.)

And do let us know what you don't manage to retrieve; few of us are in great financial shape right now, but you never know what might be in our closets or what we might run across.

Again, remember--YOU are the customer, and without you, they don't make money. Tell 'em to go sit on the bench, NOW, KIDS!

Thanks for the support ya'll. Can't afford an apartment & my folks need me right now anyway. Plus it would be too hard on me driving everyday from another residence to my folks to check on them every day. I really appreciate them taking me in. I'll have no utilities or satellite dish or internet to pay xcuz they have those. They are great & once things calm down & I think I'll survive okay with them except for missing Mike so much. What seems to be missing right now that is of importance are some Monkees cd's and cassettes, my Arlo cassettes (But as long as I have the Arlo & Monkees on record & cd I'll live) my Tommy James and the Shondells poster from the 60's, a few Tommy James and the Shondells, cd's, the Spindrift Liberate album, and the cd's of the gospel group Arise my cousin was in, and some of my cousin Jason Mraz cd's, my cd's of hymns & Christmas music on Mountain & Hammered dulcimer, Starsky and Hutch dvd's seasons 3 and 4, Welcome Back Kotter Season one and a dvd of several episodes of Kotter, my Monkees dvd, my Chico and the Man dvd, seasons 1 and 2 of The Mod Squad on dvd, and seasons 1 & 2 of the Partridge Family. I think if I get those back, we'll be all set.

What happened was the contractors needed to start working on fixing up the house while they were free with no jobs. When the auction people and my cousins son-in-law and the dudes helping him were called in to go get the stuff, they came too quick & all of them at one time. With stuff going on in 3 rooms at one time the same time, I couldn't be all 3 places at once & folks didn't know what to save. Had I known what was happening I would've been grabbing dvd's, cd's & records like crazy. But I let Mike borrow my cd's and records & so with them mixed in with his plus the fact some of the Arlo & other cd's were both ours, I had no idea where he put them. Should've never done that but we didn't know he'd pass this soon & this would happen. He had too many tapes, records, cd's & dvd's. We lived 4 peoples lives in that house. Mike lived with his folks until they died & after they died he got the house. So when I married him, we had not only his folks stuff but his stuff and the stuff I brought with me when I married like clothes etc, records & tapes & 8-tracks. And then we collected stuff after we married. If you marry you're best ot sart out fresh with only whatever you & the hubby had before you were married & no stuff from deceased parents. Makes for less stuff to accumulate...

Thanks! I think I can get those cd's at the shows. I had that SLG cd but dunno what happened to it. Idiot me took some of my cd's outta the car...

My mom was the one who went to the auction. I didn't go cuz I had to stay home & take care of my dad & my mom was afraid for me to go since the auction girl was p'd lol. My mom never saw my dvd's and missing cd's. I think I have 6 Arlo cd's missing, Arlos 3 albums with Pete, Son of The Wind Cd, Live in Sydney Cd or the Symphony cd which I will have to re-buy at shows. I never did find my Tommy James poster or the dvds I wanted like Starsky and Hutch & Mod Squad. She said some stuff went too cheap and other stuff that was cheapo like a twin bed someone else was selling went for $700 something.

I let some of the Elvis records of Mikes go to auction thinking it would draw in buyers & get good money. Wish I had never done it. Not only did they go too cheap, but one of Mikes brothers was there & bought a box of Mikes Elvis records for only $5. And they were worth alot more than that! And worse yet, my mom found out that after he bought Mikes Elvis records he was selling them out of the back of his pickup truck at inflated prices trying to make money off them. He knew how special they were to Mike & yet there he was trying to make money off of his dead brother! Good Night! What a chiseler. Not talking bad about anyone but his brothers operate like this. They will talk bad about each other & Mike & his late sister to other folks & yet if someone else says something bad about them, then they try to defend them. My mom talked like Mike's brother bought the metal peacocks that belonged to Mikes mom that were on our living room walls & were from the 50's or early 60's. Glad those went to someone in the family. I had wanted to give them to one of Mikes brothers but the auction people got them too quick not knowing they were to go to a relative. He oughta pay for them after what he did with Mikes Elvis records lol.

I think someone got my cute little teapots that looked like lighthouses that Mike had gotten me a coupla different yrs when we were at Nags Head with my folks, and gave them to me as anniversary presents. I wanted to keep them so bad cuz they were adorable as can be & meant something to me but my folks didn't have the room for them. So sad. Broke my heart. I hope they went to a good home. Gone were furniture (I could let the furniture go) Aunt Mary & Uncle Toms old lamp that was out when they first came out with lamps, my 70's stereo, a nice stereo with remote Mike won in a contest & we had in the bedroom. Thank God I was able to save some of my dvd's & videos the other day or I would've lost stuff like vhs tapes with Arlo & Chico anr the Man & old home family videos (evidently those sell. Huh?), dvd's of stuff I liked like Alias Smith and Jones, Ozzie and Harriet, Lassie, Dukes of Hazzard, I Dream of Jeannie, Gomer Pyle, Andy Griffith. It just hit me I dunno what happened to our Father Knows Best dvds. I can't find my vhs tape of a PBS oldies special from a few yrs back that had Tommy and Sonny Geraci in it. Speaking of Sonny Geraci, where's Mikes & mines Outsiders cd and Mikes album of the first Outsiders album. Thank God I noticed some of my 45's were in the sale stuff or my Edison Lighthouse Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes 45 would be gone. I dunno if I saved Mikes cd of them or not. If I did, I have no idea where I put it so much going on.

What I need to replace cuz they are gone, are the 6 cd's of Arlo, Seasons 3 & 4 of Starsky and Hutch, Seasons 1 & 2 of The Mod Squad (That's what's out so far), Welcome Back Kotter Season one & another dvd of Kotter, (That's what's out so far), my Monkees dvd ( I still need to buy all the eps but they are so expensive) and my Chico and the Man dvd (Only 1 dvd with a few various eps on it out of it so far). I am looking on Ebay but alot of the E-bay sellers want you to pay by that Paypal stuff & I don't want to use Paypal. I want to use money order.

But I'm learning that your life is for sale and folks will buy it..

It's interesting what they've got...whole movies, TV episodes, cartoons (Speed Racer, anyone?) and it's all free to view.

Thanks so much ya'll. He really enjoyed meeting blunderites and also telling folks about the song Alices & telling how he went to see the movie Alice's at the Beacon Theatre after having to to sign up for the draft.

I went to visit Mike today & out of all the dead folks I've ever seen he looked the most natural. I always said I'd never touch a dead person (ewww) or take a pic of one but I had to touch his hair, coat & him (But not him for long as I'd be squicked so bad). I am still in shock & do not believe it happened.

I got another sign from Mike again. Thurs am on the floor of my moms guest room was laying on the floor a spring of plastic holly leaf. I remembered on my old cell phone I had asked him let me record him on there saying I love you. I played it & discovered that he had not only said I Love You but had sang part of the 60's song by People I Love You after that. We were out somewhere as you could hear noises in the background. One of the lead singers from People Larry Norman had died around this time last yr I remember. So I looked up online to see when he had died. He had died a year ago, a week before Mike. Unreal.

The cousin of the preacher Billy Graham & her hubby came by my folks house to give their regards. They both went to our church. She went to school at my school when I was a teenager & was a grade ahead of me & a cheerleader. Used to see her around the school then but didn't really know her. I used to hang around with her neighbor back in the 60's. Neighbor she had the Beatles Day Tripper record when it first came out & I remember hanging out with her & listening to it with her. I loved that song. I remember the 45's pic sleeve had a pic of a NYC type of Nightime skyline on it & not the Beatles which I had found odd back then. Neighbor & her hubby go to our church & Mike loved to talk ballgames with him.

I went to the same school Mike did back in the 60's but was in a younger grade & he was 10 yrs older than me & in older grades. I saw him around & in the yearbooks but never really knew him. I remember thinking he had to be a fuddy duddy cuz he had short hair & didn't have long hair. Naw, he was cool. I knew his brother & Wife & son for yrs but they never said jack about having a brother named Mike. Go figure. Guess they thought they were the only family they had.

I'm getting together with Jerry Falwells neighbor & her hubby who love Arlo from Lynchburg to go visit Mike & have dinner at Shoneys. The back home to visit with our nieces & nephews & bro-in-law from Ohio, Then spend the nite with my folks. I don't wanna even think about Sat.

This all seems like a nightmare & never happened. Thanks so much ya'll for your concern & vibes. Thanks from Mike too...
