Thank you, thank you! It was a birthday that couldn't be beat. We spent my actual birthday in New Orleans with Reg and John; didn't see any Hamentashen, Arnie (unless the breakfast pastries could be called round hamentashen), but what better place to celebrate Purim than in New Orleans--if you want a celebratory meal, drinking wine, wearing masks and costumes, and public celebration--they've got it all! John was even there to help Jay with the throne carrying.

Then Mr. G was kind enough to play in Baton Rouge the next two nights--a great venue and a wonderful show. The whole crew has really polished this tour and they all seem to be really 'into' it and happy to be there. Don't miss this one with the Burns Sisters, Bobby, Jody, Terry (SO glad he's back), and of course, Abe and his magic keyboard. Arlo's chosen a great setlist that moves smoothly between active and quiet, music and talk. And I suspect Killer has something to do with the sense of fun and unity we felt from them all.

We got home just fine, even tho' it's Friday the 13th and cold and rainy.

The best part of this birthday (any day for that matter) is this community and the family/friends I have here. I can't just say 'friends' 'cause you're more to me than that.

It sounds like you had just as good a time as my mom and I did at the show in Tampa; they were definitely "on" and having fun !
