Cheryl,

I'm going to second what Fitzy said. Please take care of yourself. Please rest when you can. I'm watching the time roll by here in the forum and I know your not sleeping. I can totally understand that. You may not feel like eating right now either, but keeping your sugar in check is important. I know you know all this..I'm not telling you anything you don't know, but sometimes...when our world gets shaken, and the haze sets in, ourselves are the last person we think about. I know it's been a long journey into this night.....this night isn't like any other night before or like any that will come after.

In a few hours..another day will dawn that you must move through. A day the Lord hath made, my Dear. While I don't expect you to rejoice and be glad in it, I do expect you to know that you are not alone. He is with you...always.

Not to mention a Band of Blunderites.

This Blunderite is here to remind you just how important you are. Please rest & eat....even if you can only manage a little of each.

I thought what Cliffite said about Mike's rose was just beautiful. Your going to have your moment like that.

Lots of prayers and vibes being sent for you Cheryl. You are loved and cared about by many!!! Please, as Stephanie emphasized, take care of yourself! My wife passed away suddenly 6 years ago, so I know eating and sleeping don't mean very much at times like these.......my daughters had to practically force-feed me......so make yourself take a little bite of something now and then, allow yourself a few moments to lay down and rest, and let the healing powers slowly do their thing. You are very special, Love, Kevin

Cheryl,

I am very sorry about the sudden loss of Mike. I have always admired your close relationship with Mike and that you could always be counted on for kind words and expressions of encouragement and empathy. With your warm and caring spirit, you will find your way in the days ahead. Please know that we're with you always.

Love,
Larry

Cheryl you are in my thoughts, I can't imagine what it would be like to lose my beloved who has stood by me thru thick and thin and is my best friend, as Mike was yours. I can't give advise as I don't know how it feels, but know I am sending you a warm hug as are many here, we are so lucky to have each other, if only from a distance. Love from Louise.

Thanks so much ya'll. He really enjoyed meeting blunderites and also telling folks about the song Alices & telling how he went to see the movie Alices at the Beacon Theatre after having to to sign up for the draft.

I went to visit Mike today & out of all the dead folks I've ever seen he looked the most natural. I always said I'd never touch a dead person (ewww) or take a pic of one but I had to touch his hair, coat & him (But not him for long as I'd be squicked so bad). I am still in shock & do not believe it happened.

I got another sign from Mke again. Thurs am on the floor of my moms guest room was laying on the floor a spring of plastic holly leaf. I remembered on my old cell phone I had asked him let me record him on there saying I love you. I played it & discovered that he had not only said I Love You but had sang part of the 60's song by People I Love You after that. We were out somewhere as you could hear noises in the background. One of the lead singers from People Larry Norman had died around this time last yr I remember. So I looked up online to see when he had died. He had died a year ago, a week before Mike. Unreal.

The cousin of the preacher Billy Graham & her hubby came by my folks house to give their regards. They both went to our church. She went to school at my school when I was a teenager & was a grade ahead of me & a cheerleader. Used to see her around the school then but didn't really know her. I used to hang around with her neighbor back in the 60's. Neighbor she had the Beatles Day Tripper record when it first came out & I remember hanging out with her & listening to it with her. I loved that song. I remember the 45's pic sleeve had a pic of a NYC type of Nightime skyline on it & not the Beatles which I had found odd back then. Neighbor & her hubby go to our church & Mike loved to talk ballgames with him.

I went to the same school Mike did back in the 60's but was in a younger grade & he was 10 yrs older than me & in older grades. I saw him around & in the yearbooks but never really knew him. I remembetr thinking he had to be a fuddy duddy cuz he had short hair & didn't have long hair. Naw, he was cool. I knew his brother & Wife & son for yrs but they never said jack about having a brother named Mike. Go figure. Guess they thought they were the only family they had.

I'm getting together with Jerry Falwells neighbor & her hubby who love Arlo from Lynchburg to go visit Mike & have dinner at Shoneys. The back home to visit with our nieces & nephews & bro-in-law from Ohio, Then spend the nite with my folks. I don't wanna even think about Sat.

This all seems like a nightmare & never happened. Thanks so much ya'll for your concern & vibes. Thanks from Mike too...

Cheryl, we met briefly at Roanoke VA and you made sure our little party of Aussies visiting for adg's concert felt very welcome. It's hard to find words for now, except to say our prayers and thoughts are with you.

... Dave

Cheryl, You and your family are in my thoughts and I hope everything goes as smooth as possible. It was just his time, even though that seems so unfair. Life just has a different road for you right now but things will brighten up somewhere along the road. I'm sending good vibes and love your way.

I am so sorry to hear about Mike. It was so obvious the love you had for each other. I am glad that you found that recording that he made for you. That is something to treasure forever.
Try to take care of yourself and let others take care of you now as well.

Cheryl, I am so sorry to come across this news of the loss of your beloved Mike.
Today must be a most difficult day for you.
I know you'll get through it, because you have a large circle of friends and family who will look out for you.
We all have suffered a loss with Mike's passing, even though most only knew him through your postings here over all these years. You never failed to keep us all up to date on how and what you and Mike were always doing. We knew him very well thanks to you. And we all knew what he meant to you.

You have our thoughts and blundervibes surrounding you in the days ahead.

Cheryl, I'm so very sorry for this terrible loss for you and very traumatic way that it happened as well. There really aren't any right words. I'm glad that you and Mike had a lot of happy years together, even though they weren't nearly enough. There will be lots of good memories when the first shock and grief eases up a bit. If you do go stay with your parents I know you'll brighten their lives and yes, it is good to have someone around when you have severe diabetes. Still, it's always good to give it a little time before making any big decisions if it's possible.

Our thoughts will be with you as you make this transition. Please stay in touch and let us all know how you're doing.
