That's a lot of information for one short paragraph. Like Abraham Lincoln, you get straight to the point and use words very economically. I'm not in agreement that "Obama is indeed a hypocrite". I'm not refuting anything......there is nothing to refute and nothing evidential to refute anything with. Obama's been president for what, 10 days? I doubt he and Michelle have had time to break-in their new bed. Let's give the man just a little bit of time to get used to being "the most powerful man in the world". I do agree with you that "it's puny stuff"......there hasn't been time enough to intelligently focus on anything "significant", so the Rush Limbaughs fill the airwaves with puny stuff. I think it's interesting that we're not hearing more from the right wing about one of the most significant actions Obama has been been busy with: signing executive orders undoing as many of Bush's executive orders as fast as he can. You speak of logic---could you explain to me again the logical progression of decrying the Wolin appointment, to reminiscing about Marion Barry, and finally concluding that Obama might become or is a crackhead??? With regard to Guantanemo, our constitution DEMANDS that it be shut down! What else? Oh yeah, I'm not all that crazy about unicorns, but rainbows never cease to fill me with wonder and awe. The only thing I'll agree to at this point is that he is not an idiot like the last guy.

Ok, I took s little liberty right there - but here goes anyway...

1) Obama appoints someone to be in charge of finances who has applied for bailout money and can't keep his own company afloat. I'll try to use an example most of you could relate to... it'd be like electing Bush for a 3rd term or putting him in as vp or even press secretary.

2) Look at just how ridiculous point one is... Only reasonable explanation is the man is out of his mind. What causes one to be out of their mind - first thought to enter mine - and is also a current day analogy - he must be smoking crack.

3) Marion Barry was an elected official in DC who smoked crack.

• $83 billion in welfare payments
• $81 billion for Medicaid
• $66 billion on “education”, more than the entire Department of Education required just ten years ago
• $36 billion for expanded unemployment benefits
• $20 billion for food stamps
• $8 billion on “renewable energy” projects, which have a low or negative return
• $7 billion for “modernizing federal buildings and facilities”
• $6 billion on urban transit systems, dominated by unions and which, almost universally, lose money
• $2.4 billion for “carbon-capture demonstration projects”
• $2 billion for child-care subsidies
• $1 billion for Amtrak, the federal railroad that’s run in the red for 40 years
• $650 million for “digital TV conversion coupons” (on top of billions already spent)
• $600 million on new cars for government (added to the $3 billion already spent each year)
• $400 million for “global-warming research”
• $50 million for the National Endowment for the Arts

Obama’s busy expanding all of the rest of the government except for its primary, Constitutional mission: defending the nation.

I've got to give Republicans credit for takin' a woopin' and then gettin' right back up, ready for more. It shows that they have grit and courage, but not wisdom. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result next time. By behaving as they did at the congressional vote on Obama's stimulus package, voting precisly along partisan lines, I would suggest that they run the risk of losing even more political ground come next round of elections. Insightful, moderate republicans are aware of this and are advocating meaningful changes in the direction the party must take in order to recover. I don't think this movement has come very far though, evidenced by the fact that they're still allowing Sarah Palin to hang around.......
