2/3rds of the State Houses can declare a Constitutional Convention at any time. I have wanted one since 1994. Others before me wanted one 2. So maybe it can happen sooner. The Fed is a ripoff. Before it changed to the system we have now.

It might have been around 1803. But long before the FED was set up as it was in 1913 along with our IRS, which did not come to name until latter.
There was never suppose to be a tax on income, it was profits which was to pay our taxes. Not on income which is all a Man's hands can do.

In the debate on cspan between Nader and Baldwin the cspan man said that both Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn had endorsed Obama. I thought that was a good sign.

I read many posts a day, and when one of Leo's comes along in a different font, a different color and a different size, I tend to scan it for content and don't really spend too much time contemplating any further meaning. The post itself interferes with the flow of my reading. I am sorry , but I find it distracting.

I wish the rest of the electorate could learn from the way we handle philosophical differences on these forums. We don't always agree, but we seem to be able to discuss our differences and remain friends.

We got home from last weekend's family reunion to find that all the Obama signs in our neighborhood, including ours, had been stolen. That's theft. We bought those signs; they weren't free. And we wanted to keep them as mementoes of this historic election. You can't get them now; we've checked three counties' Democratic headquarters and they're out of them. (We'll be out tomorrow night after the polls close, trying to find some signs in public areas--we get the signs, they are removed promptly after the election--a win-win.)

Then there was this in the news this weekend; thank goodness for those neighbors who acted like our good moderators on arlo.net (you know who you are) and saved the situation:

I'm sure there have been similar occurrences to these excesses of zeal, probably on both sides, all around the country. It's just sad and wrong. However it turns out tomorrow, this country needs a sea change toward tolerance and working together to solve our problems. A better sense of humor would be a good thing to throw in, too.
