It sure was a busy three days. The Burns Sisters are wonderful lovely people. It was so delightful to be preparing the place and then the ladies would be warming up the vocal chords. Melodies popping out of nowhere. Makes the work lighter. Bobby Sweet is doing an excellent job playing lovely leads that got better and better over the two days the whole band was assembled on stage. Sunday was Arlo and Abe and I just can't remember the bass player's name, nice guy.

The part of the tailgate I snuck out for was fun. Thanks for the koala, Louise!

It was so nice seeing Robert at the Sunday show!

I am still a bit crispy so I'm gonna wander off in a corner with a six string and decompress a bit. kurt...

I know that crispy feeling! I got home about an hour ago after leaving the Berkshires about 5:30 AM...and I feel like I need to spend a little time in a recliner with a good book and a cat in my lap. I'll probably fall asleep, and wake up with a cat sleeping on my face, but it's all good...the weekend was just about as perfect as it gets.

Agreed! The weather in the Berkshires could not have been better! My husband and I were blessed to be given a night by ourselves, our daughters 5 and 3 stayed home in CT with the in-laws, Arlo at the Church and time in the Berkshires....who could ask for more?
The re-entry was hard, as I never want to leave Stockbridge and I hit the ground running! Back to the real world.

What a weekend!!

It was wonderful to see the old gang and nice to see some new faces! The tailgate was a blast and there were some nice tunes provided by Larry, Sue, Kurt and Judy...even Lee joined in for a couple! Lots of friends that couldn't be there were thought of and missed...Loved having Mrs. T and louise with us in pictures! Thanks to louise and JohnC we even had beautiful accessories with kaolas and peacebeads.

The music was a fantastic mix of older stuff and newer stuff with the Burns Sisters and Bobby Sweet and Jody Lampro, along with Arlo.

As always, George and the Guthrie Center hosted another fabulous Arlo Weekend!

I'm sure others will be posting setlists and things after they get back home and get a little rest...I know I'm still recovering!

Glad you made it home safely, Sue! :)

It was good to see the entire trinity, with spouses in tow, and Rob and Sue Brown, it's been too long! Wish we had more time to yap a bit!

Yep...it was HARD getting out of the cozy warm bed at the hotel this morning! I packed last night before I went to bed, so I just had to get up and throw stuff in the car. I was on the road early enough, tho...the sun wasn't even peeping over the Berkshires when I left. No traffic to speak of, and smooth sailing all the way home.

I got home a couple of hours ago, after having a wonderful weekend at the Church. Besides going to the shows, the hoot, and the tailgate, I had a good time working in the kitchen. It was so funny. I suddenly realized that the guy who figured out the menu for the church gigs and does much of the cooking is the brother of one of my neighbors here where I live in Mystic. He looked familiar when he walked in, but I didn't realize who he was till someone called him by his name. Eugene. Then I realized that I knew him, and he realized he'd seen me here in the parking lot by my condo (he often parks his car right next to mine when he visits his sister). We had fun kidding around with each other Friday and Saturday at the church, and his sister came up to the Berkshires and helped out in the kitchen Saturday, too. Small world. Well, when I got back home tonight, I got out of my car, grabbed my groceries from the front seat, turned around and who did I see across the parking lot? Eugene, his sister, and his son.

Yup, it's a small world alright! :D

yeah, the ride was quick enough for me last night. Pulled out of the church at 10:45, pulled out of the McDonald's drive through with a large coffee at 11:00, and pulled into to my driveway 155 miles down the road at 1:45.

And Fitzy, thanks for the music kudos, but the only music I supplied was via the CD player in my truck and when I handed Kurt my 12 string! I wasn't trying to actually PLAY any!

We also did have koalas from Oz and voices from Colorodo.......that was fun!

Wish I could say I had been to the church & had fun. We're in Christiansburg, VA headed partway home. Later in the day we are getting together with Jerry Falwells next door neighbor & her hubby & having dinner with them at their house. Her hubby is a Arlo fan too. She loves Starsky & Hutch like I do. So all around should be a fun time... :)
