When I received an email today from Hillary, et. al., ( ya know I'm on their short list) about the passing of a great American leader, I thought , oh god no, Ted. I was really surprised, and equally saddened, to hear that Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones had died. She suffered an aneurysm while driving on the highway. The police attempted to pull her over due to erratic weaving patterns.... The report said her car then accelerated, and when the police were able to stop the vehicle , she was doubled over. She died a bit later at the hospital. Also , there are reports about deaths within this congress. I don't know, could this be triggered by something other than a physical defect, like a stress factor?

Tubbs Jones was the super congresswoman from Cleveland whose dad was a skycap at Hopkins International and she became a great politician. Everyone did love her so, not just because of her background, or because she had this larger than life personality, but because she had a true sense of justice.

So..Good Bye to a Great lady, a JD , judge , 4 honorary doctorate degrees, and too many " firsts" for a black woman to write here. It made me smile a mile the day she was interviewed about her choice between Barak or Hillary. She said, " I am a Black Woman, how can I lose?"

Those are shoes to fill. Rest in Peace.
