i've never seen a picture of Jesus with a buzzcut...
long hair is a long tradition...

seems like this thread (and the other) was alot more about control and pushing limits than religion and hair...

at least from this keyboard's view... 8)

Or, if you're a lumberjack or a Forest Ranger( As both myself and Arlo thought of becoming at one time) it's the Lavatree.

I was listening to the Independent Baptist radio station in Summersville, WV again yesterday & this time I heard a preacher who was fussing about the saxophone. He said it was dishonoring God to play the saxophone lol. I told Mike I just know there are plenty of saxophone players up there in heaven lol. Arlo posed with one on the Outlasting the Blues album cover...

I wear a pork pie hat, does that mean my soul could be in danger if this preacher is right? Is there a Melanie connection? Should I burn all my Budd Johnson, Coltrane, Benny Carter, and of course Lester Albums? Should we organize a bonfire? I think we need to sort this Sax connection out but quick!

I'll be waiting for you! Who was it that said something to the effect of" I prefer the lowlife to the highlife. There's more people to share it with, it's cheaper, and you don't have to get dressed up".

Thanks for the warning Cheryl. To increase my chances of being inducted into heaven on the first ballot, I'm gunna lop my air off, burn my saxophone and suppoert Bush and Cheney. I mean at least Bush and Cheney go to church after bombing women, kids, houses and villages. And of course since they bomb by proxy, they didn't REALLY do it.

Perhaps we could start a campaign to confuse the baptist radio preacher guy? We can get people all over the country to stand in front of barber shops playing " Onward Christian Soldiers" on the saxophone with a sign that reads " What would Jesus do?". Do you think the guys head would explode? Would barber shops go under?

I don't know, but when asked why he didn't keep writing "middle of the road" music, Neil Young said something to the effect that you meet more interesting people in the gutters.
