Eerily familiar to another quote:

Early in the Albigensian Crusade July 1209 AD. "Although Béziers is believed to have held no more than 500 Cathars, the whole population was slaughtered. According to the Cistercian writer Caesar of Heisterbach, one of the leaders of the Crusader army, the Papal legate Arnaud-Amaury, was asked by a Crusader how they might distinguish the Cathars, their enemies, from other citizens. He answered: "Caedite eos! Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius" "Kill them all. God knows his own."

I think Butterball's on the right track. It's been an interesting weekend.

There is a truth that as of now is not widely known. In my mind the Lamb made it possible by his blood for the stars and hosts of heaven in Daniel 8:9-14 to come down here to earth and as it has turned out, be trampled by todays establishment, as humans. (to go a bit further, life existed before the only one any of us really know about, which is on this planet right now.)

Fame may mean nothing, but you seem to be trolling for people's reactions to your statements, and enjoying the attention. Why else would you spend lots of time over at Melanie's site, only to be banned over and over again? You must be getting something out of this...you're spending a LOT of time on the internet making statements you know people will react to. You're obviously not interested in learning anything, nor are you teaching/sharing anything except your black and white opinions...which you darn well know will piss people off. You seem to like the reactions.

I was taught long ago in Sunday school that God is everywhere...and therefore, one can pray ANYWHERE...in the woods, in the shower, in the car, in a mosque, in a temple., and in the case of our upstairs neighbors when we were living in an apartment in Indianapolis, in their bedroom, because they spent a lot of time shouting, "Oh, God!!! Oh, God!!!"

What any church/temple/mosque teaches differently than your own beliefs won't rub off...it won't soak in with osmosis. It's not like chicken pox or ringworm.

I've got lots of stuff to do before the sun rises tomorrow...I've got horse rescue volunteer work in the morning. I'm done.

On Friday I was in such a hurry to git outta the house and down to the city for a weekend of partying with my family (I'll tell you about it elsewhere)that I forgot to log off so I really wasn't here all weekend.

Then I come on and there is a new thread with many many pages! I thought GEEZE LOUISE what's been going on while you've been away!

So I've read it all, very thought provoking.

So, what Arlo has already said about The Church is what I, personally, have always felt it will be like when I get there. I don't call myself any kind of religion or not, I'm just me, but have always enjoyed the fact that this community is one place I feel comfortable talking about stuff that people are always saying people shouldn't bring up in polite conversation like religion, politics etc. I love that kind of interaction and discussion and if I didn't I wouldn't be here. Most everyone I've met here is intelligent combined with being able to be a silly sausage also. We have threads to be kinda serious on and threads to unleash all kinds of comedic talents.

I read the link about The Church again (I've read it before) so Ceashel has covered the One World thing for me.

Now I don't KNOW Arlo, I've met him a few times, and when I've hugged him it certainly wasn't GURU hugging. It was just thanking a down to earth person who goes about making a living (with out charging an arm and a leg) from a wonderful talent he was born with and hopes to make a few new friends on the way but certainly not to PREACH. He's just himself so I say take him or leave him as you wish.

I mean he can say alot through his songs and mostly they are things we all would wish for like peace, kindness, tolerance, along with lots of fun and laughter.

So my barn is avaliable and I'll supply the Vegemite :)
(no pun intended tarbaby)

Oh also, I really like the fact that Arlo hangs out here sometimes. I also understand and respect the fact that he has to keep some privacy in his life also. So I'd hate to think that someone like you might make him pull back a little. I have a feeling that won't happen tho.

See Sue just showed how serious intelligence and comedy can be combined!

That OH GOD! part was extremely witty! I like the way you just kinda slipped it in amid the serious stuff Sue. Kinda like a light stuck in the dark.

Well, I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy talking with everyone. I can't help it that my thoughts get some riled-up. I'm just me and, love me or hate me, I can't be ignored. It's just a curse I have to bare. LOL

I fell in love with Melanie and her music some 39 years ago. I don't think I would get banned from her website if she were more like Arlo. At least he takes the time to talk with us fans on line. I know that can't be easy when people like me come around asking hard questions and making comments about his personal life. I don't like talking behind someones back so by talking with us he helps keep things on track. That's a gift Melanie doesn't offer her fans (for whatever reason). Yes, things get heated when I get on her site but the moderators only answer for the problem is BAN BAN BAN. But like a rubber ball, I just bounce back. By banning me they just tick me off so I make up a new name and email address and rejoin. After a few posts they figure out that I am back and ban me again. I guess my writting style gives me away???

Well Sue, I'm stuck in my house because of my illness and don't get out much. That's why I am on line a lot. I know I "piss" people off with my directness sometimes but people keep encouraging me so, what's a person to do? I have to answer or people think I am stuckup.

I guess Melanie says it best in a line from one of her songs.
"Angry words are better than none."

SILENCE IS KING
Written by Gary Burr and Jim Photoglo

She tests every word like a fine wine
She holds every thought like her last dime
You could hear a pin drop from miles away
You could hear a heart stop as plain as day

We live in land where silence is king
whispers have all disappeared
Cry for an echo you won't hear a thing
Silence is king around here
Silence is king around here

Where are the dreams we were after
Where is the joy and the laughter
Were they only habits we were doomed to lose
Or is destiny not ours to choose

We live in world where silence is king
whispers have all disappeared
Cry for an echo you won't hear a thing
Silence is king around here
Silence is king around here

Desperate measures come from desperate times
I don't regret what I have done
If my actions make you speak your mind
Angry words are better than none

We live in world where silence is king
whispers have all disappeared
Cry for an echo you won't hear a thing
Silence is king around here

We live in land where silence is king
whispers have all disappeared
Cry for an echo you won't hear a thing
Silence is king around here
Silence is king around here

You think you've pissed us off? Then you really don't get it. Try listening sometime. Really listening. You might not be so lonely if you did that. Peace and good night.

If you'll "let God do the weeding"... then why are you trying to convince all of us that we are weeds... Did you know that a 'weed' is simply a plant that's growing in a place where you don't want it? Perhaps you should tend to your own flower and leave it to god to take care of our weeds... er... flowers...

That's KIND OF what I am saying. It's not that I'm craving attention so much as it is, I just want to talk.
I want to ask the tough questions. Questions and comments that make people uncomfortable are my forte. I want to know what makes people tick. That's one reason I am pushing to get a bio written about Melanie on my website. I bug the hell out of everybody. I think Mark Bego (bio author) has stoped answering his email because of me, I don't know. I put his address on my site encouraging people to write him. -- I think he may have gotten pissed. I bought over 1000 postcards to be sent to the rock and roll hall of fame. A fellow fan bought another 2,500. We flooded the hall with mail. I'm sure the rock foundation must be sick of hearing fom us. LOL I hope they are listening and paying attention to us. Melanies cult won't back off. I'm not the ONLY crazy Melanie fan. :-) I bet they get a lot of mail so maybe they could care less about our ranting. Who knows? All they did was send us some stupid form letter. We should know something in sept when they announce the nominees.

Why aren't you in the hall yet Arlo? I would like to see you honored along with Mitch Ryder and the detroit wheels.
Jim
