TarBaby,

You felt Arlo's post to you was hateful?

You didn't even say Hello ! You started out by saying how much you liked him, but that you liked this other lady better, even though she called you a predjustice biggot. Then went on to say: " What's with all this one world religion crap they preach?"
What's one suppose to think? There were likely 5 other ways you could have gotten your message across without sounding...well rude.

Who stands where on the Darwin issue isn't for me to worry about. God made Monkeys too! :D Will I shoot someone down for not thinking that way too? Of course not!

I had no clue what it meant to be Jewish until I was in my late 30's. In fact I only know one Jewish person. I Thank God for him because he opened my mind to a wealth of knowledge. Had I turned away from him because he didn't believe the same things I do, I would have missed out on sooooo much. I will be forever grateful to him for sharing his Religion with me. I'm still a Christian. I don't think God will mind! Sure, I'll feel guilty from now on for drinking milk when I'm eating beef but that's me!

Somebody sure opened up a can o somethin' and my feet are getting wet!

And just how would he make a distinction?

Well, if you believe Jesus is coming back, any organization that doesn't accept Him will be tagged a cult. Any person rejecting him will be left on a dying planet.

Your fundamentlism is a religion, and the next guy's is a cult. That's kinda how it works, isn't it?

Why are you calling me a "fundamentlist" Larry? (not that it's a bad word)

I am a Christian (A follower of the Son of God)

No Larry, you are wrong about what a "cult" is. A cult can be ANY gathering claiming to have all the answers. It doesn't matter if they are Christian, Budist, Hindu, or whatever. People with all the answers are people to avoid. Thus, the "cult" reference.
Peace,
Jim

As the moon is full tonight, this Pastafarian will be serving meatballs and spaghetti on the patio in honor of both the goddess Diana and the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Who's bringing the garlic bread? the salad? the wine?

Since I'm the noobie I guess I'm bringing bread for the breaking... if that's okay?

I can just leave it in this thread to rise for a bit. Pretty warm in here! 8)

Ohh... I'll bring some wine! Stephanie is bringing bread... does that mean we'll be having holy communication?

Too funny.lol

Thank you for letting me get some things off my shoulders without being kicked off your board. Melanie has banned me for life and that hurt me.

You have some nice fans Arlo.
Peace,
Jim

MELANIE"

Those lyrics are from a Jim Croce song...

"You bring your own god and I’ll bring mine
We can lay down our arms and get along fine"
Johnny Irion, from "Kindness"

America is wonderful...we've all got the right (according to our Constitution) to believe whatever we want, including in a Flying Spaghetti Monster. Ceashel, I'll bring a garlicky-lemony Caesar salad with home made croutons, and we'll enjoy His Noodly Goodness.

Spaghettis with meatballs, wine, bread and garlicky-lemony Caesar salad with home made croutons. That sounds delicious. I wanna come too and howl at the moon. Can I bring the chonklit cake?
As serious as the comments are, you all are bringing so much humor along, it's incredible :D

I was packing for my roadtrip and I missed the food! I was hoping to bring a raisin challah! And it's Friday! Gut Shabbat to all.

Yes, I know. It's a beautiful song. I am partial to Melanie singing it. She recorded it in 1974.

America COULD be wonderful if we all voted like Melanie, Libertarian. :-)

I'm getting hungry.

It's 4:20 here in Spokane Washington, time to start cooking.
