After meeting some of us...i.e., Freaky, Wyld, Ceashell, Larnie, etc., my sons GF, Kristen, -- has requested a nickname. (Larry behave!!!) She was at - and enjoyed - the Oct gigs in 2007 experience. As she has been very good to me...I promised I would call out the experts...

Background...

She is a very sweet, brilliant, beautiful, dark haired, 23 yr old, brand new college grad (with honors). She just aced her praxis test (NJ Teacher) wants to go into a program to become a law officer, then detective or couselor for domestic vilolence. She is a fabulous artist, vegetarian, sassy & supportive GF and loyal family member. She hates to cook - (another plus as far as Im concerned) loves to travel, would like to garden if she had one, appears to be a bit addicted to a pocket book habit, - and a soft touch to babies and kittens.

my opinion on nicknames is that you earn them, you don't request them... that being said, why not Nick? Seems like a perfectly good name... otherwise why wouldn't she ask for a Blundername? or a Larniename?? huh? why not???

(obviously, I am not holding the brain cell these days... but then again, i'm barely holding onto my sanity either...)

No, Reg already has a perfectly good "Mrs. T" in her heart--it will have to be something else. I blundered onto my nickname. I never had a nickname, when all about me had them. Even in the late 60s I had no 'cool, groovy' name. Just Shelley. Not even a middle name. I was very sad. Then, early in the public Internet days, I needed a username and Shelley was already taken, ...CShelley was also taken, so I started playing around with my name and my sun sign (Pisces) and settled on Ceashel, which wasn't taken yet. As I registered elsewhere, it wasn't taken anywhere else, either (so what's wrong with it--huh????? Are you guys keeping something from me about my nickname?) It didn't actually become my out-loud nickname, though, until I started hanging out with Blunderites (other than Jay) in 3-d. The first time someone called me Ceashel--I think it was Larry--at the tailgate, I didn't know who he was talking to and I think he thought I was scowling at him--I was just confused. Now I answer to it quite readily.

And, BTW, Kristin is just about as perfect an 'adopted niece' as anyone could hope to have. You can take my word for that.

After considering all the information put forth by Kristen's publicist and press agent(Regina), I have decided to dub her " Isis". Unless of course she objects...... it's not wise to piss off a goddess. Besides, Killer was taken already.

By the way, when I was in my teens, I didn't often answer to "Larry".
But if someone said " Nuts" or "Nutsy", I answered. It's a long story.

I don't have an internet nickname I always used my real name. I did have a cb handle (Nickname) On the Cb radio in the 70's. It was Electric Lady lol. Good luck to the new blunderite...
