Hi Everyone!

I am touching base with all of youse in relation to my mental condition. A a couple of weeks ago my doctor put me on another medication called Clonazepam. I recently started to feel anxiety and fear, I also had trouble sleeping at night due to worry and stress over my finances and the work environment. Clonazepam is starting to kick in to help me relax and sleep more comfortable. Just a week before I went to see Arlo in Hartford, CT. I was shopping at a local town mall and all of a sudden I had an emotional breakdown crying at the register at a clothing store. I don't know why maybe because the cashier kinda got a little snippy my mind triggered like a bomb. This could be due to my upbringing and the way I was treated with attitudes when I was young. I calmed down after 15 minutes. A few days later I had the same episode at work but this one lasted eight hours and every half hour I would be crying. That was very unusual, I not had that happen to me since November. Perhaps the Clonazepam got in the way of a side effect and temporarilly cancelled out Lamictal for my bipolar. Now things are at full swing but not quite 100%
BTW starting in August after my summer layoff, I will be working in a dining unit on the campus. I had to get out of the bakery it was putting too much mental stress on me as much as physical stress running around like a rooster with your waddles cut off! I could not take anymore of the backstabbing, two-faced, nonproactive, and favoritism dog crap from the boss and co-workers. I was not appreciated at all I was left out pushed back in the background while one person got all of the attention and special treatment from the employees. I was chopped liver!!
I can't wait to start a whole new chapter this Fall, maybe the new environment will help me be more mentally and physically stable along with the Lamictal and Clonazepam. I will just have to hope and pray!
TTYS!
Peace and Love,
Lorie

Good luck with your new postition. Hope you are doing better. I wonder if your 2 meds were clashing with each other. This may sound weird but before I was put on antidepressants when I would look at Christmas trees in stores around Christmas I would feel sad. Now that I'm on anti-depressants I don't do that anymore. It was a strange thing to happen as I LOVE Christmas trees & decorations. More prayers & vibes sent your way...

well i'm glad you're getting the help you need, but I have one concern:
Why do you feel the need to take Clon-a-pam?? I mean, don't we already have a perfectly good pamaramadama here in blunderland?? I've heard about walking in another persons shoes, but takin' over their entire wardrobe is a little much i would think...

but then again, they don't pay me to think, now do they!

I always had a dream of being a clone of Pamela Anderson. But only on one condition, I would not fit in her shoes my feet are too small. There is an accessory I have of hers, hint: 36C, D, E I can't bust that floating around the plane!

now I'm not tryin' to create a problem here... but just what the hell is wrong with Chopped Liver??? I happen to be an enthusiast, and I really don't like a favorite of mine dragged through the mud (ugh! that would certainly ruin the taste!)

Why is low self-esteem compared to a liver that's been macerated??

Let's have a new analogy developed here. One that's worthy of a nice goose liver pate. Okay?

Thank you all for your thoughts :) It seems like in every work environment the person who works the hardest and minds their own business, and respectfull to others like myself get crapped on whereas the ones who are not dependable, do jack, and are very talkative get a pat on the back. I felt I was under the influence of a Miss America pageant where this woman from another country was the center of attention because of her silliness, beauty, and very out going. I do not want to mention her nationality because I don't want to sound prejudice or discriminative. I felt I was very ugly inside but not on the outside. My boss at the bakery did not look for qualifications of one person they hired he displayed favoritism with women because they are pretty on the outside. One girl was "Sleeping Beauty Queen" and other was "Cinderella" and I was the "Ugly Step Sister" In my own prespective people who are mentally slow, handicapable, suffering an illness, shy, quiet should get treated equal like every human being who are in tough situations in general, not prey on your weakness.
I will say to myself I am goose pate. Miserable people at work are dog crap surrounded by flies and need to grow up!

Lorie, some people have a very hard time remembering that we all got out of jr. high school a long time ago...they still behave like they're still there. There's life lessons they still haven't learned yet. I know it's very hard to ignore, but take the high road... ignore 'em, and just have a professional attitude; if the chit-chat doesn't have anything to do with work, don't listen or get involved in their dramas. They can't hurt you if you don't play their game. ONLY discuss things that pertain to work, and they'll soon find someone else to torment. I've had my share of crap like this at work...I'm VERY good at ignoring turkeys and just getting the job done! In order for them to have any influence over you, you have to play the game...just refuse to go there!
You're a lovely sweet person, and I'm very sorry you're surrounded by a bunch of snarky people.

Thanks for that lovely compliment, Sue :) Mean people do prey on others who are quiet and friendly because they have the impression that person is stupid and sheltered not aware of their surroundings. Believe me that has happened to me all through my school years and a few jobs in the past i.e. McDonald's and Infocision. I just ignore them, let them be the a**holes. Someday they are going to get their fill(get a slap in the face) or as I should say what comes around, goes around. The bakery I worked in was small and at times felt uncomfortable, closed in phobia wise, and depressed. The emotions and hurt brought back memories of school of how I was treated by cruel kids, those bakers, assistant bakers, baker manager act cruel. To be honest I am still having a hard time overcoming my childhood of being surrounded by bullies. This is going to take me a while to forget all about it. I am working on it gradually through therapy in which I still attend once a month. I have a gut feeling these therapy sessions will last for years, who knows? Very unpredictable.
