Regina (the name means queen) has need of all the Blundervibes you can spare right now. She is in a lot of pain, but the doctors don't know why (which is of itself worrisome). Whatever this is began over the weekend and is excruciating. The pain meds are not helping very much, and she is in agony. Results from a literal battery of tests should be back tomorrow. She asked me to "call out the cavalry" because typing is difficult for her. To add to the agony, she and John are supposed to take the train to Mickey's (and Simba's) House this weekend--this trip is the highlight of her year, and she missed last year due to Blunder circumstances.

Please, clap you hands and then let the blundervibes fly--let's get a diagnosis of something minor for the Queen and then get her to the Magic Kingdom, as pain-free as possible.

Good news (relatively)!

The assault of pain on Regina's body has been so intense because several things hit her at once: a pinched nerve due to narrowing of the two holes in her spine where nerves come out, calcific tendonitis in both shoulders, AND degenerative arthritis in her neck. (And you're saying, "This is good news?")

Of course, the good news is that she has none of the MUCH WORSE things that they tested for, and in fact otherwise, her tests came back showing that other systems are in excellent shape.

But Regina says the best news is, "I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!! (I may not have anything packed-- but I'M GOIN')" Since major pain killers are part of the initial therapy, I predict that our Queen will be seeing Disney World in a whole new way this year.

It ain't over, but the worst part--the not knowing--is, and some pain relief is in sight. Regina asked me to convey her deepest gratitude and hugs to all of you for "doing what you do best" in supporting her and sending your Blundervibes and prayers to help make this a good outcome. She can't wait to see you at a gig!
