Just got off the phone with Dan, and he sounds so much better!!! He's still in the hospital, but is hoping he'll be able to come home tomorrow, if the doctor thinks he's OK. Otherwise he'll probably come home Friday. He'll still need to be seen daily by a visiting nurse as the wound heals, but he's definitely on the mend. Whew!

Thanks, everyone, for all your good wishes!

My Mom and sister came up for the weekend, so I've been away from these boards the last few days. Anyway, I heard from Dan's wife yesterday, and she told me Dan came home Thursday night, and even though he's far from 100% better, he played a gig Friday night! I stopped by his house this afternoon after my family left, and he was outside, playing with his daughter, cleaning out his car, and giving the dog a bath. He says he's feeling better, but still has a long way to go.....and yet, he's doing all this stuff! Men!! Musicians!!! At least it was good to see him up and about and doing normal things. I just hope he doesn't overdo it, but in any case, I told him he better not scare us all again!

Thanks for all your vibes and good thoughts. Please keep them coming for a while longer, just in case.

They're still going ... they always cover the aftermath; it's understood that they need to (or it should be). Yea, Dan!!!!!

I'm so glad to hear your friend Dan is doing better. Those prayers and vibes are still going out for him.

Mrs. Dan may need to take serious steps to make sure he doesn't over do it. (As if guys listen to us about these types of things.)

My husband received a head and neck injury on the job this year falling from a ladder and landing head first against a concrete block that holds up a street light. When all else failed, my daughter used blackmail against her dad. It worked so well I adopted the technique myself. My husband's mom cries about everything. Weeping loudly may be a better description. Since his accident, when he doesn't take care of himself I have resorted to threatening to tell his mom. The last thing he wants is his mom making a scene over him at a family get to gather.
