Edited to say: When I moved to the Northwest I was dismayed that there was no Hellman's mayo. Then I figured out that if you are West of the Rockies Hellman's = Best! (Bring out the Hellman's, Bring out the Best) and everything is good.

I agree with ya on the storebought tomatoes. Those Farmers market ones sound good. I need to get some this summer and make a tomato pie. Yum...

I got a kick out of the Hellman's being right next to the Best Foods Mayo in one of my supermarkets, here at the cusp of the Rockies

Some of our supermarkets like Woolworths etc. import Best Foods. I don't eat mayo much but that's the one I get when I want some,brings back lots of childhood memories and my Mom makes a hum dinger Chonklit cake with mayo in it.

We've got all kinds of varmits around here that like to try eating the veggies. The worst one at the moment is the darn Peacock! It keeps trying to become a BlunderChook but they won't let it join! I was blaming the BChooks for pulling the lettuce seedlings out of the bed when they're out in the evening having a run around. But it was the Peacock!
Some people down the road let them breed and they wander all around. Time to lasso a Peacock and send it home. The BChooks are tired of all that honking!

You still have woolworth's? And it sells food? We had Woolworth's in St. Louis years ago before it closed down. It was a 5 & 10.

I miss our Woolworths. I was talking to a friend awhile back & were both commenting how we missed Woolworths. Ya'll are so lucky to still have them. Ours never had food tho...

I can remember the Woolworth's my Aunt worked at for years. The floors were hardwood and there were large ceiling fans for cooling. It was before air conditioning was common. There was also a lunch counter, and the food was wonderful there.

and they sold everything... things you didn't even know existed....

And they all had that "Woolworth's" scent.....

Nice! Judy is stealing from Nancy Griffith! " Like popcorn and bubble gum rubbed on the bottom of a leather soled shoe...." . She hit the nail right on the head too! I can smell it now, and I ain't been in a Woolworths in 20 plus years!

How do you know Nanci Griffith didn't steal from me?! Eau de Woolworth's is one of the earliest things I can remember!

We also had a Ben Franklin five & dime on the same block.
