Happy Birthday Ceashel! Hmm just a couple of days off from the concert in Fort Worth. Wonder if we can get Arlo to sing a belated Happy Bday! :)

Hope it was a good one!

Hugs
Jamie

Thank you all for the BlunderBirthday wishes (and Larry, too, for the pre-Florida-trip note). It's one of the best ones ever; being this time of year I don't usually get to Blunder for my birthday. Jay and Judy and I went to the Sixth Floor Museum (JFK assasination; School Book Depository, grassy knoll). It was well done and something that we, living here, had never done. We went to a local French country bakery/restaurant and each chose our own 'birthday cake'--a Napoleon for Judy, a lemon tart for me, and Jay took on the "burden" of having the chonklit cake. Today Judy and I are going to be 'girly' and go shoe shopping, then hang out at the fiddle shop. Tomorrow it's Fort Worth and the Cowgirl Museum, then the gig at Bass Hall. And I'll take you up on that, Fitzy--party on!

Are you taking Jude to dinner at Joe T's before the show?

Probably not--we inflicted Mexican food on her already, and it's not her favorite. But there are LOTS of other good restaurants in Fort Worth.

Byblos on Main Street has great Lebanese food. Or are you going to eat near Bass Hall? Mezzaluna is right across the street.

bhaklava,

I wanted to eat at Mezzaluna before the Pink Martini concert a couple of years ago but we wouldn't have been seated in time. So we at at Fizzi ( I think it was) It was really good. I would love to try Mezzaluna tonight but somehow I doubt they will have much on the menu that my 10 year old will eat. So I think we will go a block down and eat at Chilis!

Ceashel,

I think long ago you told me you are in center orchestra row ccc. What seats if you dont mind me asking? If there is time would love to stop by and say hi. We are in center orchestra row 3 seats 11 to 13.

Hugs
Jamie

Happy BD a little late, Ceashel!

I re-registered. I wasn't going to - I was being stubborn about it. I wanted MY account back. But, hey, what difference does it make? I have better things to worry about. And I wanted to wish you a happy birthday, albeit a little late.

So, happy birthday. Hope it was a good one!

(Now we'll see if this account actually lasts or not. If not, BFD, right?)

hey shelly! i hadda go down to FL with the front half to make sure that he didn't do anything silly while visiting with the old folks... but i lost him somewhere around delray... i think he wandered off to the keys, something about looking for his inner true male self... yet he was wearin' the pink tu-tu???

anyway, i'm back now, and wanted to wish you a happy happy birthday week celebration. So apparently jay had the chonklit cake while you and judy watched? such voyeurs!

Thanks, Arnie and Kim, but you're not late--I'm celebrating my birthweek this year, so it's still happening! I'm so glad to see you back here, Kim! And Arnie, heck, no, I wasn't watching Jay--I had my own lemon tart to roll around on my tongue. (Make of that what you will.)

Judy and I went to the National Cowgirl Museum yesterday and were soooo tempted ... in the gift ship (don't ask me why) they had pink tutus with little silk rosebuds around the waistband. If they'd only had a 'slightly' larger size we'd have had a homecoming present for the Front Half. But at best one of these would have made an interesting headband.

I used to wear outfits like that when I lived in DC. In a very short miniskirt (almost tutu style), purple tights, clingy short t-shirt and knee-high red cowboy boots I stood out from the usual commuting crowd. The boots still fit, but not much else. lol! 8)

Hey, welcome back, Kim! You look wonderful and very happy in that photo!
I have a wonderful purple puffy plastic peace sign hanging up in my kitchen, Bhak! It's been there since you left Arlington, VA.

That peace sign has traveled all over the place. Glad it still has a good home.

Ok, I got my wishes in early, but I hope it was a birthday not only as happy as Texas is big, but even happier than the biggest asshole in Crawford Texas is big! :D
