Goofus,
Oh I hope like hell I don't have to vote for Clinton. In my dreams... Obama's you-tube video will keep her out.
But from McCains own words, he is more than a triple threat.-its all on you-tube too.
The only thing that I can do to help end war, which Hilliary says she will get us out of with in 60 days of being in office, which i don't believe in the least, is to send out cool you-tube videos.
This one has nothing to do with anything political except a southern cross you can see from down south, and it is here, and all they can do is delete a cool song.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NB2c5ZRX9cg
There are some places on the net you can embed these into the screen, which is so much cooler.
(Not that I am complaining Wizard. I learned how to copy and paste on line about 2 weeks ago... and its been fun.)

Here are some key words I would like to hear about as the election moves forward:

Blackwater
CACI
KBR (Halliburton) and Cost Plus Contracts

I think there is a collective argument in these words for charging many of the key profiteers of the Iraq conflict with Treason and for the Federal Government to confiscate all the assets of these fine American War Contractors, both corporate and management profits, made during the "war" years.

And I don't think I am being reactionary

I agree. No one should be immune to the penalties of breaking laws, including conflict of interests, not even the president or vice president. In fact-they should be most subject to every law. Also, I thought when one country invaded another and won, the winning country gets the assets of the country that was beaten. So why isn't Iraq paying for the war? It was not a poor country. Why are we still paying high prices for oil?
Oh, yeah. If he did that it would "look" as if Bush only invaded Iraq to raise oil prices for himself and his cronies rather than to bring them the freedom of democracy.

Hi, everyone. Are there enough Texans to clue the rest of us in about how Texans view the Hillary or Obama question? There are other things I'd love to know, too: Are they still in love with Shrub? In denial? Ignore the subject altogether? Is Karl Rove a hero?

Golly I miss Molly! And Ann too. What a huge huge loss, at any time, but now especially.

I didn't know whether to start a new Texas topic or post it here. I am really so curious, especially now. Thanks to everyone.

:)

I heard something last night in one of my education classes that has me a little unnerved... that Obama and Kennedy made a pact before K endorsed O. The pact was that Obama would not touch No Child Left Behind (NCLB)... in exchange for Kennedy's endorsement.

Anyone know anything about that? As a teacher, that really upsets me. NCLB has not been good for the education of our kids! It kills creativity, among other things. And we are losing ground in the sciences, too.

I meant to say thanks to Goofus earlier for posting that link to Molly. The weird thing is that I was just thinking about her and that particular article of hers, today! I kid you not. In fact I went to the library to check see if I could find it. All I found was a copy of Who Let the Dogs In.

I hope what you heard isn't true, Terrie. Though I know pacts with the devil, in whatever form he is in, have and will be made----by all of them.

Cheryl, I got such a kick out of the Arlo for Prez video.

I don't think you're being reactionary at all.

Here's another word I would like to hear more about: InfraGuard. It's not about war profiteers per se., but I think there might be a connection. If you're curious about a business/FBI collaboration, see:

http://www.progressive.org/mag_rothschild0308

I found this part interesting: “The meeting started off innocuously enough, with the [FBI] speakers talking about corporate espionage,” he says. “From there, it just progressed. All of a sudden we were knee deep in what was expected of us when martial law is declared. ..."

Notice the "when."

Best Election Results I Heard Of So Far

In Vermont, voters in the town of Brattleboro endorsed a measure calling for the indictment of President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney on charges of violating the Constitution.

The symbolic article seeks to have Bush and Cheney arrested if they visit Brattleboro or to extradite them for prosecution elsewhere - if they're not impeached first.

Yes We Can !

But what does it mean? Can cities do that, and if enough of them do, will the criminals actually be arrested? Would congress do something if enough citizens signed petitions?

Who knows about this stuff?
