Mrs. (Lucille) T. wants me to wish all the Blunderites - that are always so dependable to remember her on the holidays and through out the year - a wonderful and Joyous holiday. I can't tell you how many people have shown me or told me that they keep her address with them all year...just in case they find something to mail her. You have no idea how important that all is to her and how much she, Michele and I appreciate it.

So in case you're are new to Arlonet or just lost the address - here is my annual appeal to send Mrs. T. Holiday (Christmas is fine) cards from all over the world for her to share with her friends where she lives. They all get such a kick out of it - even her "helpers" share in her excitement!

Mrs. T. has had a few hospital episodes lately - what Michele calls "tune ups", but she was able to be at Michele's home for Thanksgiving where she saw her (grown) grandchilden! And basically as strong as any beautiful 85 year old could hope to be.

In advance I thank you for taking the time -

The Ridgewood Center
Mrs. Lucille Tamburro
330 Franklin Turnpike
Ridgewood, NJ

Sincerely, REG

Thanks for the address again. Since I lost my address book I don't even know some of my husband's brothers and sisters addresses.

First, I want to thank you for your Christmas cards to Mrs. T. They were all beautiful and very much appreciated. We enjoyed looking at each one and me telling her about you all and where you live. At one point, she said, “Regina, you have nice friends” I said, “They are your friends too”. She looked at her roommate (with whom she has a bit of an old lady rivalry going on) and said with a smirk – “Did you hear that - I have friends in Texas!”

But now I need to “come clean” and tell you that my Mrs. T. was in the hospital for while just before Thanksgiving, but then went to back to her home. Even being able to have Tday dinner at Michele’s house – which I sure really was a dinner that couldn’t be beat!

But then she spent the week before Christmas in the hospital. She had multiple “issues”. One night I left, I have to admit, I finally thought I was saying goodbye.

HOWEVER, the next day this incredible woman was sitting up, eating dinner and smiling her big old wonderful smile. I came into her room – with a shocked look on my face – and she and Michele broke up with laughter. Mrs. T. said, “Regina – You will never change” I asked her if that was a good thing, and she nodded yes and then we all laughed. It looked like almost everything was sorted out, & she was able to return to her place on 12/25 about 3pm.

Unfortunately, this episode was very diminishing and she isn’t bouncing back the way she normally does. New Years day she had to be readmitted to the hospital, in an intermediate intensive care unit. Michele told me this morning she was surprised she made it through the night – but Mrs. T. is full of surprises.

I went to see her (Mrs. T.) at lunchtime and I told her she was a tough lady – she said, “In this world you gotta be tough!” - From her lips to Gods ears.

Please send those wonderful strong blunder vibes - as strong as you can.

REG

MANY strong and healing blundervibes to Mrs. T! So sorry to hear of her being in the hospital so often, and especially that she's not bouncing back as quickly as normal. Please let her know her friends in Michigan are wishing her good health and many more Christmases with us all. She is in our prayers.

Rumor has it she's feeling some better, and although she might not be doing the hula yet, she is listening to Don Ho CD's in her hospital room.

Keep on sending those tough hula vibes!
