I went to get my haircut after work last night. The beauty shop is in a little strip mall with a bank, a physical therapist, an "oh so pretty" gift shop, and a liquor store. I pulled into the parking lot, and there, parked right in front of me, was this beat up old van--I don't know what kind, except it wasn't a VW Microbus. On the back was painted a caveman, just like the cavemen in the TV commercials, and the statement "Peace is so simple even a caveman can do it". I thought "Yes!". On the right side of the van more stuff was painted like "Happy Holidays" and "God bless our troops". I was fascinated looking at the thing. I walked into the beauty parlor and my hairdresser was standing right at the counter, waiting for me. She smiled and said "Hi, Jude!" I looked at her and realized I had left her Christmas present in the car, because I was so pleasantly distracted by the van, so I said "I forgot something! I'll be right back!", and turned around. I didn't even say hello. I walked back outside and this time, walked past the left side of the van, which had a painting of a really cool dude on a motorcycle. The whole thing just made my day, but especially the slogan on the back. Peace is so simple even a caveman can do it.

Whatever your beliefs, both spiritual and non, I am wishing you all Peace, now and throughout the coming year.

I heard a weak back on CNN that Tomas Jefferson thought all American Churches would be UUs by 1850. To bad that there are only 200,000 members in America now. They are the most tolerant of our religions.-like the last advice given to john in Revelation 22:10-11 which sounds a lot like the Beatles song Let It Be. (I hope the rr gets it someday.)

Zap, I have noted before that Barbara Bush made medical history 60 some odd years ago when she was involved in the first childbirth case on record where she delivered not naturally, not by c-section but by the first documented case of an anal delivery.We all know the result. Hey, I don't know who the abombination of desolation is. With some play with words that have come into my life, like being #9 of 10 kids and getting the down payment on an $80,000 Abbey Road Condo (Long lost) in what I call Lemon-Minister on 8-8-88 for $8,000.88 from Local 588. Ya, I kind of run into them all the time. I guess like a UU from birth told me, they feel like they don't have to go to go to church.
I sure wish the UU's had the power of the rr though.-then we might get to a land that is tolerant.
