Well, all I can say is I'm with ya! Just keep writing more music. I want to here more from you. By the way in support of Larry, my wife does day care at home and needless to say I have been warned to stop singing your song while the little ones are around..I sing the song to myself so much now I don't even realize that I am singing it out loud. My reply to my wife was that they are the future they should know the truth. Her reply to me was to work on the parents first. Then let the parents teach their children! So I am with ya. "One of these days I'm going to walk in there, sing a bar of Alice's Restaurant and walk out!". I just hope the children can learn from history because I am not so sure that they will learn much from their parents.

My wife and I were talking about my forgetfulness last night and I compromised by saying that if I do forget that the kids are around I will at least sing "F- the war" instead of the alternative so that my wife does not have to listen to any complaints from the parents. And a Norwegian folksinger on MySpace (Jan Hagen & Bivirkningene) said he wants to play it at some jam fest in Arambol, India this winter (sounds like that Chuck Berry song "...met a German girl in London who was going to school in France ..."). Don't exactly know what that's all about but it seems to be a place in India where a bunch of Euro-hippies frequently gather to party and play/listen to live music. An Asian Woodstock? It's goin' global! Sort of.

I think that it is great that your song will now be making its way through Europe and onto the Asian continent there is no better way to spread the word than through song. Hey maybe after you try the Vegemite you could write a song about that! Either Larry will like the song or I will like the song. But you have to tell the truth and neither of us will hold it against you

I have been following this Vegemite conversation and the whole time I have been thinking to myself "what the heck is Vegemite"? Is it anything like Marmite? My father being from England use to eat this stuff called marmite on toast. If I remember right it tasted sort of bitter but also salty. Is this the same stuff? Just curious?

i believe my front-half likened marmite to axle grease that was spent, and mixed with bird gravel... and this was an improvement over vegemite!

All I remember is that I didn't like it at all and my father blaming my not liking it on my mother being that she was German. I also remember that it didn't look good or taste good nor did it go down very good. It defined a new meaning to Sh_t On A Shingle!

OK Marmite is kinda the same thing as Vegemite, but not as good as far as I'm concerned. But better still is Promite which I personally like better than Vegemite even. (but don't tell Larry that or else I'll put a spell on you )

I grew up on Vegemite in Oregon 'cos my Mom was a War Bride from Brisbane Australia and her folks use to send us a huge jar every Christmas. Now I live near Brisbane but prefer Promite and again don't tell Larry.

Wasn't promite that stuff that you used to be able to buy in a tin that you put on your hair to make it straight and stand up? The aristocratic sibling of butch-wax?
