I hope this is the proper place to post this.

I wanted to let the Veterans of Arlonet know that the man known as Bumper passed away on June 22, 2007 in his home after a battle with cancer.

I know he throughly enjoyed the music of both Arlo and Sarah, and especially encouraged Sarah in her career (I believe he had something to do with the beginnings of Sarah 'N Diputy?), and he spoke of people he had met in the Arlonet community.

He also helped the young-un (me) become more schooled in the musical masters. I miss him greatly and hope that everyone here who had a chance to know him, even if he made you mad/upset/indignant at some point, takes a moment to remember something about him, if simply just his penchant for strangeness.

Never met Bumper face to face, but he was a friend nonetheless.He's missed.

No need to apologize. Bumper was a friend of ours and stayed with us for a couple of days on his travels from Florida to SoCal. He was always interesting and had things to say. He is missed. Stay in touch, progeny.

Somehow when I think of Bumper I visualize Miata's and wind blown hair...

Oh...I was just wondering about him....I was going thru some papers and found some songs he had written...one especially for Sarah Lee (that I did play for her and let ole Bumper know that I had at the time)... I wish I had known he was ill. Thank you for letting us know about his passing.
