She had to have her tonsils out yesterday, no big deal... right? Well, she got into some complications in recovery and they had to admit her. Called the nurses' station just a little while ago and haven't been able to get any information on her (her nurse is away from the floor for a few minutes)... Corey can't talk, of course, so I have no idea how she's doing. Oh, she's back in PA, I'm in NM, and she's almost 22! Poor kid!

Sending some healing vibes. I'm sure everything is going better now but please let us know. I know that's the hardest part of being away. If you were there you could follow the nurses and badger them until you get some information. When my grandpop was in the hospital we all had a bit of a laugh when the surgeon was trying so hard to escape from my mom that he actually walked right into a pole.
It's funny getting out tonsils in my mom's day was done right in the doctor's office. Then it became a hospital stay, now I guess it's supposed to be out patient.

I finally got in touch with the nurse, and Corey's been texting me all day. She's feeling horrible and "wants to die" and swears she's never going to do this again LOL

She actually was hoping to drive up to NYC for a Mets game on Saturday! I'm hoping she'll feel well enough to... the tickets are already bought. But she's miserable today... can't even swallow ice chips.

It's a lot rougher getting tonsils out as an adult; I'll really be surprised if she feels like going anywhere on Saturday. Little kids bounce back a lot faster!
I got mine out when I was six..I'd had strep infections so often, it was just another sore throat to me.
I'm sending her healing vibes...her comfort and health is much more important than a baseball game!!

Mine were out at 7; my sister's out at 17. She was a lot sicker--it's harder when you're older. Vibes going to Corey.

Yeah, still having mine too and no way I want them out now. I can feel for poor Corey and mom Terrie. It's monday now and hopefully Corey is feeling much better and you Terrie could relax. All the best to you two.
