Hello everybody, you guys are the best. You made me feel real special. Thank you very much for your hearty birthday wishes. Yes, I had some cake, no Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte but "Bienenstich" (translates to "bee sting" cake), without Sauerkraut. :) Otherwise the day was as usual going to work, son's soccer practice and helping out at the soccer field.
Maybe someday I'll take you up on the Pils (I like Jever) and Sauerbraten with candles for everyone. My treat. Since we Germans are still invading the US one never knows. :wink: One of our extremist exports is Konny Reimann and family, imigrating from Hamburg to Gainesville, Texas. They have a show about him and other imigrants on German TV. He is a mixture between Tim Taylor and Werner (a german cartoon figure). Talk about crazy Germans. http://www.konny-island.com/Gesamtframe.htm. If you ever come by Moss Lake, Gainesville go visit him and have a beer.

Sounds like a great birthday--I'm glad! And thanks--Konny Island looks like it would be fun. Are the Reimanns friends of yours? We'll have to take a weekend trip sometime if we can figure out a translation so we know more about their place; it looks like a rental or bed-and-breakfast on the lake, and it says something about Texas-size steaks, and beer ... it's not too far from us; just over an hour.
