This is your mission if you choose to accept it!

Paging Blunderground Agents (new agents welcome)-if you have a local Mom & Pop record store you love to support, stop in and ask them if they are interested in carrying Arlo's new release "In Times Like These". (I know you all have been shivering with anticipation for it.)

We will need the name of the store, buyers name, phone number and email address. You can can also ask them to contact us directly at info@risingsonrecords.com.

May the force be with you...Now go young Jedi

Love,

The Blunderground

Dear Blunderground, I have done the rounds of the Indie stores here in Brisbane a while back and some asked me if he had something new out.
Also when "Live in Sydney" came out I did a review in our major paper which goes all over the state. I don't know if you got any sales out of it or not.
But anyway a guy at one of the stores said something like "Yeah Arlo could send some CD's over to us but if they don't all sell he would have to pay for them to be sent back to him" So I guess he meant like on consignment? Do you do that with other Indie stores? Or is that only because we are way down here at the bottom of the earth?

Yours in Blundering, Agent 35 (aka Louise) 8)

Just a hint to others. When I did the review for the paper I included the web address so people would know where to go to order Live in Sydney online. But the (so called) editor, who shortened my review a little, wrote it as risingsunrecords instead of son!! Tshirt Cathy was at Blunder Headquarters then and told me that happens sometimes so from now on I will emphasize the son part!

Unfortunately, most of the independant CD stores in our area have gone away...eaten by Amazon.com, CD Baby, Borders and other big stores. Those that stuck around focus on heavy metal and headbanger music and video games.

I second what sue said. All we have in Ocala is FYE in the mall and maybe a local "head shop/tattoo parlor." I'd have to be good and stoned to go in there (maybe not such a bad idea after all).

Just because its a head shop doesn't mean you can't find interesting things in it. I used to visit one because they carried my favorite R. Crumb Comixs.

Also some of that supposedly bad juju stuff can be used for legitimate purposes. So go ahead check inside and maybe with the Jimi Hendrix collection you'll find some of Arlo's classic works.
Cheers,
