I think it's time for yet another movement and one in which we will all have to sing loudly to be heard. Years ago someone yelled out at one of Arlo's concerts in Vero, "Arlo for President!" Well, he responded, "You don't want me, I inhaled........a lot!" Ever since then I thought that would make a good song. I think I could hear Willie Nelson singing it! Hear it at: myspace.com/TimothySelfMusic Peace & Love, Tim

Why would you wish this on a guy we like?! :)

I remember years ago, we tried the same thing with Ray Davies, but he was an alien, so it wouldn't work.

Even though Arlo was born in this country and would be eligable, I'm sure Karl Rove would bring to the attention of the American people that Arlo was born the week of the Roswell incident and MAY be an alien by association.

What fun--thanks for letting us know about it.

You'll find us divided here on whether it would be a good thing; only because some think, "Who would wish that job on Arlo?" Still... got to love that song!

Hey Arlo, about that job, I'll do what we agree upon with a wink and a nod, you don't even have to know! It is not necessary! C'mon man, let me be your Ollie North! I'll stand before Congress and take one for the Gipper if need be! I swear!

Now Arlo, I know some of these people around here are going to say, "Arlo, HE"S CRAZY, you don't want him in your basement, God knows what he would do!" Well Arlo, you can't listen to Larry for cryin' out loud..The man reads cheese, ....Swiss cheese.....HE READS CHEESE...HE IS EVEN BOASTFUL ABOUT IT!, are you listenin to me Arlo, The man reads cheese and he is measuring me with the crazy stick? I know one thing, I might let Larry in the basement but he damn sure ain't getting near the refrigerator without proper supervision!

Just want you to keep these things in mind, keep them clear and unobstructed in your brain as they say, as you ponder who get's Ollie North's Desk.....Need anything before I go? How bought some salsa and chips. Vine ripe tomatoes and fresh cilantro..it's yummy good...maybe something to drink...cup of coffee...capachino...something...I'll go now...Me and you man..same team.....

Hey Arlo, I was just going through this box of cool stuff here I might use to decorate my Ollie North Desk. Look at this, I got my little metal dancing Shiva, with the little ring around it and the leg kick. It'll be a new dawn! Look I got the framed Amigo album cover, the one with your thumb up in the air and the big hat. What do you think man? I'll have that balanced above Ollie North's Desk in the basement. See what's, hey, Igot a big Jar full of them coccoa crunchy almonds that you get down at the Trader Joe's. If you are ever up in the big O office and you get sick of Larry cuttin' the cheese up there you can come down and hang in the basement and have some crunchy almonds and talk big plans about what we would do if we could do it! Have some guitars down there and stuff! Ah man, check this out, a brand new unopened Rockem Sockem Robots. You come down do the punchin' jaw thing get rid of the aggression and make the head pop off! It'll be cool! Lot better than that old rickety lever hockey thing of Larry's where the men go up and down the slots and you twirl them around to hit the marble. (Hey, (in a whisper), tell you a secret....Larry WD 40's his levers and leaves yours in rust...Cheese Reader's, Beware the Cheese Reader's).

You gotta go, it's cool! Crunchy almond or two? Take a hand full! Me and you man.....same team.....

C'mon PS! Wadda got against those of us blessed with the gift of foretelling the future, the present and even the past by reading swiss cheese holes!? I mean give it (and me) a chance!

I mean it's gotta be better than some of the stuff that's gone on in the past! I mean Hitler used mystics and the occult(didn't work for him thank god!) Ronnie Rayguns used astrology and jellybean readings (to mixed reviews) and I kina sure that dubya reads cowpies and piles of horse manure on his crawford ranch, which may be why most (if not all) of his ideas smell like shit!

I mean swiss cheese hole readers(like myself) may be the only hope we have for the future! Would you rather trust Karl Rove? Swiss cheese comes from a very nice neutral country(that also makes FINE chonklit) and Swiss cheese is holy to EVERYONE regardless of religious affiliation!
Come on and jump on the bandwagon, we got lots of room!

After reading what ADG wrote in another thread, I believe he is well suited to be a presidential candidate. :)
