I hate to complain BUT lately it seems that some people feel that everyone needs to subscribe to their opinions on this site. I am putting this as a topic unto itself so as to totally avoid finger pointing or anything. Much of what my friends think and say and do are agreeable to me but I don't assume that everything has to be. I realize that I'm not too coherent but it's a real bad day and reading some people's posts I must say are not only disagreeable to me but are kinda hurtful.

I didn't see anything that fit this description. but, I do tend to miss stuff. it sounds like you don't care to be more specific, and that's ok.....but if you care to, that's ok too.

One thing I've noticed about the Internet, whether it be postings or email, is that it is sometimes extremely difficult to discern a person's intent. What could be meant as poking fun in a teasing but friendly way sometimes gets taken as being a nasty, sarcastic or even hurtful comment. It's happened to me on both ends of that particular stick. I've been both the poker and the poked (or is that pokee? Oh, wait! That was Gumby's pal. Uh, oh! Train of thought is headed for a derailment!).

I do have to say that I'm sort of with Larry on this but I miss a lot, too. But I've said it before and I'll say it again. The folks here, for the most part and the most time, are about the nicest folks I've ever had the pleasure of bumpin' into, either on line or in the real world.

Oh, I think I got an answer to what means. I had told adg my story using lots of rock songs, and he replied I had wanted to make him smile.

"He was once a little green ball of clay"..............I felt like that alot....I'm with Zap................don't frett.............I was called a "virgin" in blunderworld for a while.........one thing about Arlonet..........it's sort of a half organized anarchistic self expression zone. If you take anything too personal that's what you get. Just like Arlo's songs. Or anyone's for that matter. Being too serious here just makes you vulnerable to the arlonet gremlins who are cyberpranksters that end up being your virtual friends. I don't know about opinions but I've never experienced anything actually malicious in the Arlozone despite my earlier attempts to be "serious" and perhaps "too smart". Smart is for dumb folks. It's fun to be stupid. It makes liking yourself all the more easy.............as Einstein said there are 2 infinites: the univerise and human stupidity. I'll stick with humanity, the universe can wait. (Zap...does this sound too catchy or "smart"...<see now I'm asking for input from the various gremlins>my virtual community...listen to more Arlo and it all becomes clear.....I like "Days Are Short" today myself.)

well diane mc I must confess it's true! Although I do not expect everyone in blunderland to think like me (in fact thinking is quite discouraged as it puts a lot of stress and strain on the brain cell, and then we gotta douse it in guinness for a while to cool it down), I DO expect everyone here to EAT like me!
