 Post subject: SPAM ATTACK

Hi ALL,
here's the thing, since I defeated the spam blocker, so I can get all my mail, I now have 200 spams a day to DELETE . . . Having the sadistic sense of humor that I do, it occured to me before I delete them, to REPLY to them (as many times as you'd feel compassionate to do, and I know you are ALL are filled with PASSION) with this response

ASSHOLE !

Now if one person did this, they would think you had PMS and dismisss it with a hah! But if two people did it, they would think you have a friend as dum as you are. But if three people did it or more , can you imagine a hundred people a day sending their crap back to them . . . how about a hundred thousand a day . . . they might think it was a movement . . . and friends that what it is . . .

THE ANTI-SPAM ASSHOLE MASSACREE MOVEMENT

and all you have to do to join in is send all this spam crap back to them with the words

ASSHOLE !

emblazoned upon their Madison Ave. WWW nuisance E-mails with the almighty REPLY button.
Can I have an AMEN !

Have a great day . . God blest the world (with freewill) . . . God bless you ALL

the sentiment is okay, but the method will not win any awards.
By responding to the Spam, even with the polite and to-the-point missive of "asshole!", all you do is:
1. guarantee yourself MUCH more spam
2. overload already overloaded circuits with even more spam (your reply would essentially qualify as such)
3. possibly contribute to a denial of service attack, since the "reply-to" address may have nothing to do with the sender of the spam
4. waste your time in a pointless pursuit.

The correct and only smart thing to do, is DELETE DELETE DELETE... NOW KID!

Don't even open the stuff, since you also always risk some sort of infection, worm or just a waste of your good eyes on some less than intelligent bullshit. Just delete the stuff and don't perpetuate the cycle.
If you delete it enough, sometimes they even drop you from their active lists (but it doesn't happen often).

Now, in the brick and morter world, replying to Junk (same as Spam) mail by putting it all back in the enclosed envelope and mailin' it back, does impact the sender, but again only peripherally... usually it's some contracted return-center where minimum wage folks are opening up the mail and tossin' it in the garbage as fast as you can send it back. And for all you know, they have a 'hate list' that they maintain, and just put your name down with "double dose" next to it!!

So, bottom line, delete the spam, and get a life (again!) That's why god (Max) made the DELETE key on the 'puter!

okay, my rant is done, back to your usual blundering.

Hi Arnie,
I guess I knew that all the time, but if you want to stop spam, oppression, war and stuff like that . . . not to mention hopin' to walk in Arlo's shoes, sometimes you gotta step up to the line . . . sometimes over the line . . even though you might get your ass kicked . . . besides it's raining today !

Have a great day . . God blest the world (with freewill) . . . God bless you ALL

I think alot of them use fake munged addresses. So even if you replied to them they probably wouldn't get it. I HATE spam too. I am sooo tired of getting that junk in my mail...

HI ALL,

RE -"Bloody Vikings"

THE BEST DEFENSE IS A STRONG OFFENSE

Don't know if this will accomplish anything, but if we could make it as annoying to them as to us, maybe they will get the hint. It seems to me they are trying to sell us something . . . let's sell them something ! . . . So we'll just wait until it all comes around on the WWW again and join in with the REPLY ...

There IS a GOD!!??? And his name is MAX!It must be true if Arnie says so.
As a fellow (part) Viking, I'll let you get away with that Viking remark Larry.

Hey when I mentioned on RSR boards that I was taking lessons on how to be as funny as Larry, it was suggested I could become the middle half. But I could NEVER come between you two.

"MAX is God"

just so you all know, MAX is short for Max-I-mus(t) I think something is lost in the translation . . then again this whole language never made any sense to me, but it is fun dealing with twisted perception (and perception is everything !)

Hi ALL,
for those of you using Outlook Express, there is a command on the Menu Bar, under Message section that allows you to Block Sender . . also check your Address Book, there probably is, every name from mail that you FWDed on your address book, including the SPAM. It will take a while to DELETE them all. I can only ass-ume that the other servers have that also

Hi ALL,
just got this from my friend Rick. Ya think they're all in this crap together ! Why is this in your options, already checked ???

In Outlook Express go into Menu Bar,

go to TOOLS,

go to OPTIONS,

go to SEND

and uncheck

"Automatically Put People I Reply To In My Address Book"

then click on APPLY
