Cheryl H. - spend a little time and explain to us what you (we?) would gain by having a "conservative" in the white house.
And for the record, you have one there right now, regardless of what bozo-the-bush may call himself, he is tightly aligned with the conservative wing of his party, and I don't see how any of us are getting any benefit out of his policies. So why subject ourselves to another arrogant, clueless, extremist? Can't we find some moderate, balanced and level-headed person to take this job?? Larry??

Musical Abe for President. A big improvement over the current situation. Think of the potential cabinet. The multi colored rainbow roach defense system might have a chance. (I can hear those Betsy Ross's kniting now)
The cabinet can unroll the contents of the blanket on the White House lawn. Assorted pies.

Win the peace, forget the war.

Like Arlo said in Sydney "even Nixon's starting to look good at this point".
Pretty amazing but true. Nixon was scum, but Bush ? I have not found the proper adjective after I watched all the GI amputee's on TV tonight who plainly state "this happened to me for nothing". Go to you tube and search CIA. Weird stuff.

As a famous republican said "Beware the military industrial complex"

But realistically friends.....both sides are in a dance. Hillary and other Dem's are members of the trilateral commision. Their supposed outrage seems transparently phony to me. Bill built up the surplus so George could spend it. Good cop/bad cop. Bread and circus. It's the golden rule. He who has the gold rules.

Like what's the coincidence that insurgents bomb Cheney's hotel after he gets bad press at home ? They watch TV. They know the American people hate Cheney. They know support for the war has evaporated. I was dissapointed they missed.

....it's way past time for impeachment, of course....as many before have said what this administration has done makes Nixon look like a choir boy...

...i'm believing that one of these fires that pop up won't be so easy to put out and that one thing will lead to another.... that's how Watergate happened...it was long slow months, starting with a small break-in... to the final days of the administration.... the problems with the firing of attorneys has the feeling of that.... maybe that will do it...

meanwhile, as much fun as Bush-bashing is.... and how he has earned it.... sometimes i think that we put so much energy in it that we could lose sight of the real issue of what changes folks really want and fighting hard for them.... (bush-bashing at break-time)....

Is there a politician out there today, who is going to run for presidential office for the U.S. that has the qualities that you want the leader of our country to have? And if there is not, what are the qualities that you think are important for the president of our country to have?

The conservatives support morality/morals & God which is one of the big reasons I support them. Get a conservative in the Democrats & I'll be glad to vote for them... :)

There you go again, Cheryl. Your post implies that you have drunk too much of the Republican/Christian Kool-Aid that makes one believe that a Democrat is, by definition, an immoral atheist.

It's true that many of them do not have a red phone hooked up directly to the big G upstairs, like the present guy in the WH. As far as morality, I suppose you feel it's perfectly moral to single-mindedly screw up the sovereign nation of Iraq and, in so doing, be responsible for many thousands of deaths. How about sending our young men and woman to die for nothing over there? That's moral?

Bush and Cheney will be judged as war criminals by the God that they keep invoking, and will be wishing they had a spider-hole they can crawl into a la Saddam when they meet their maker.

How about a person of good character, who does what they say they are going to do. Works toward peace and prosperity for the U.S. and other nations.

Performing immorral deeds while holding and thumping a bible and going to church seems to be a free ticket to election victories so long as the weak minded still have a vote. It has made the careers of karl Rove, George Bush And Prick.....errrr., I mean Dick Cheney.

In all seriousness, I believe that conservative, should mean, don't put all your eggs in one basket. Think long term, and not go running to judgement.

* It should have nothing to do with Abortion, or Roe Vs. Wade (sp.ck.)

I wish all these God fearing conservatives, that don't believe in a womans right to choose, should have babys dropped off at thier doorstep, and they can support them. After all. It would be the right thing to do. no?

And if all these God Fearing Folks, accepted, and raised all the unwanted babys, there might not be a need for Abortion...

I could go on and on, but I think I'd be digging my own hole?

Hillary Clinton for President...... She has my vote...... As I pondered the idea, and came to the conclusion, she has more balls than Kerry... ( or any other of the male candidates, as far as that goes....

Kcycledelic, Arlo for president.. Now ifwe could find a clone, that had his ideals, values, and love of the common man, we'd have our guy....

ntm: he wouldn't be able to find time, to play gigs....
