Hi All!

So, I wanted to come on here and share some good news with all of you, especially those of you I've gotten to know personally over the years.

I have been seeing a guy, James, for close to a year now. A week ago last Friday, he asked me to marry him, and I said yes!

He really is the sweetest, most romantic guy I've ever known. We had already talked about marriage, and I knew he had ordered the ring (it's a custom-made ring with two dolphins facing each other as the setting - dolphins are my favorite). So I had a pretty good idea he was going to ask me that night when he said he wanted to take me to the aquarium and then to Legal Seafood, which is one of my favorite restaurants in Inner Harbor. I figured he would ask me at dinner. But he still managed to really surprise me. He arranged for a private training session with the trainers and the dolphins at the aquarium. I got to pet one of the dolphins, and give it several commands. Then the trainer had me give it a command to make some noises. She then said that although we know a lot about dolphins, and we think they are communicating when they make noise, we still don't really know what they are saying when they do that. She asked me if I had any idea what they might be saying, and I said I didn't. Then she asked James if he had any idea, and that was his cue to say that he thought they were telling him to ask me if I would marry him.

We haven't set a date yet, but it will probably be sometime later this year.

And eventually, I will probably be dragging him to a show or two!

How romantic! Best wishes to you, Kim, and congratulations to James! Does he have any idea what he's in for, if he's going to be joining in on Blunders? Maybe you can break it to him slowly. Can't wait to meet him and see you!

Also, I know a few of you lived through some of the... shall we say "other issues" with the Wiz and me a few years ago.

In case anyone was worried about that.... I didn't want anything to be an issue here on the boards, so I e-mailed him before I ever posted anything here, and told him I wouldn't post anything if he didn't want me to. He said he was very happy for me, and told me that I should go ahead and post this, etc.

If this was all a bit cryptic to you...don't worry about it, it's past history.

Just thought those who have been close to both of us should know.

Kim, just goes to show your character I'm so happy for you. After all you've been through, you deserve to be happy.
