Corey's driving cross-country with my sister. Left this morning from sunny PA. Due to arrive ABQ sometime Sunday afternoon, driving through MD, WV, KY, TN, AR, OK, and TX. Please pray for a safe trip. Thank you!

Thanks, Cheryl and Wyld. They made it to their motel in Lexington, KY by 8PM last night. Left later than planned this morning. Today's the longest day of their trip, and it's going to be mostly in rain (yuck). Heading to the western edge of Arkansas on I-40 by tonight. Will post when they've arrived Van Buren, AR safely.

Again, thanks.

Corey and Ellen overslept this morning, then spent a little more time than what was scheduled for at Opry Mills Mall at Opryland in Nashville. I had them change their reservation from Van Buren/Ft. Smith to just a little bit west of Little Rock. They're checking into the motel right now and will call me later after they've had dinner.

Keep the prayers and vibes coming, please. Tomorrow they drive the rest of Arkansas, go to the OKC Memorial, then on to Amarillo. Weather's supposed to be good tomorrow. It's snowing here (again) on the mountain and on the east side. I really hope we don't get snowed in again because they'll close the pass through the canyon on I-40 and they'll be stuck in the prairie somewhere!

They arrived at their motel in Amarillo, TX around 6:30 Central time. We didn't get snowed in like we thought we might... only about 3 inches, and it's all gone now! Even took some of last week's foot of snow with it!

Corey and Ellen will be in Albuquerque (barring a closure of the canyon) by 2 PM tomorrow (just in time for the Eagles game!).

Good to hear the trip is going well. But doesn't the irony get to you. Move to New Mexico and be worrying about the snow and here in Pennsy the ski resorts are closed because it was 75 degrees out.
By the way, my name got changed I used to be just plain diane. I had a nice time when we met in Ocean City.

Hi, Diane. Glad to see you again! OC, that seems like light-years ago!

Not only does the irony get to me, my husband and Michael remind me of it daily. Lance "works" part-time for Bear Creek and they had to close for the season! He hasn't worked at his part-time job yet! And he did take Michael skiing one Saturday a few weeks ago, for about 2 hours. Hardly any snow. So Michael called to ask me if he can fly out here.

Corey and I have reservations to ski up in Red River near Taos on the CO border in 2 weeks (well, she'll be skiing, I'll bring a book to read). As long as the roads are dry, I'm happy :) I hate the snow! I went to buy a shovel yesterday to be ready for next weekend's snow, but there's not a shovel to be had! I might have to order one online LOL

I have to work today from 11:30 to 4:30, so by the time I get home, Corey and Ellen will already be here (if the canyon isn't closed). I made them an emergency reservation east of the canyon just in case.

Thanks for posting, Diane. It's good to hear from you.

Whew!! Glad they made it hope. Hope they have anice time there & good skiing. I'm afriad to ski fearing I'll fall & break something lol. So glad the snow isn't here as I don't like driving in it & stay home rather than drive in it. Feb is our worst month for snow & yet Arlo is coming to VA in Feb so we gotta hope & pray for good weather then...
